Worst

Disappointing, very average Chinese food. The restaurant may have earned more stars if it hadn't been built up in my mind as ""the best Chinese food in Seattle."" My suggestion ...

great food and free delivery 6/6/2007

My favorite dishes are the honey walnut prawns and any of the chow fun noodle dishes. Very tasty and flavorful. I dont know what the previous review was talking about. The restaurant also has a bar that my friends and I go to for happy hour. Its a good deal with half price appetizers. Free delivery is also a plus. Pros: food and delivery more

Nothing to write home about 5/29/2007

I saw everyone's great reviews of this place...since I was looking for a new chinese restaurant not too far from home I thought we'd give it a try. Mostly the food was bland. The General Tso's (with 3 stars for spicy) was barely spicy at all. The cashew chicken was mostly tasteless, unless you count the over abundance of onions. The potstickers were really good, however. Overall I would say I was unimpressed, and will probably not go back. I really wanted to like it, but came away unsatisfied and still looking for a really good Chinese restaurant in the Kent area. Pros: service, scenery (great golf course view) Cons: food, location more

Yummy 5/7/2007

Wow, what flavor!!!! The mongolian beef is the best I have had. Just enough spice, depending on how hot you like (2 ** is great). Anything manderin is very good. There are a few bland dishes, but not too many. I just cannot go back to the old places, they do not compare! Pros: Parking is good. Service is great. People are very nice Cons: Can't think of any more

best lumpia roll 2/27/2007

I stopped by last weekend for the Chinese New Year with a friend and recieved lucky red envelopes with food coupons inside. I instantly won an order of lumpia beef rolls for free! They were very tasty and I am happy I got introduced to this appetizer. I have been in a few times to China Star, but their menu is quite large so I have not tried many of the dishes because I like to stick with my usual, the honey glazed chicken. I will definitely order more lumpias in the future and am glad I got to taste them for free the first time around. Pros: tasty food more

great lunch deals 1/27/2007

I was referred by a friend to try it out. Foods tasty, great service. The staff is very friendly and makes sure you are enjoying your meal. Definitely a place to recommend to others too. The lunch special was pretty cheap and food came out fast. I was able to enjoy my meal and get back to work on time for my 1 hour lunch break. Will be back for lunch again! Pros: great view of golfcourse during the daytime more

great food 1/12/2007

I 've been to China Star a great number of times since I came across it this past year. Its a bit hidden in the best western plaza, but a great find. I had gone to eat there before a few times when it was still ""The Wok"" which was pretty decent food, but since the new ownership change I would say there is a big difference. More menu items and friendlier service. I love how It is a kid friendly place that even offers basic fish and chips or chicken strips for the kids. My kids are young and dont exactly want to eat chinese food so the french fries are a good substitute. I dont come across many restaurants that cater to non-chinese food eaters. The food comes out pretty quick afer ordering and staff are very tentative to your needs. Pros: fast and friendly service, great tasting food, clean, great view of golfcourse during the day more

Best 19th Hole in the Area 12/20/2006

After golfing a 100+, I went to China Star to eat some food with my golf buddies since it was right next to the golf course. The food was cheap, delicious and the service was great. Honey walnut prawns were the best by far. The owner (Ann) is friendly and can make a stiff drink. I will be sure to go there again. Pros: Great Food, quick service more

Best Mongolian Beef and Mandarin Fried Chicken with Spectacular Customer Service 11/26/2006

Oh my gosh... I loved how I was treated with great customer service and the food is great. It was by far the best place I have ever eaten at. I am so sad I was only in town for a couple of days. But, once I am in town again I am there every day. Pros: Thumbs Up more

The best Chinese Food and People! 11/26/2006

I've had my share of Mongolian beef, but China Star's is absolutely the best I've ever had! Everything else I've tasted has been great as well. Definately give it a taste! more

Best Almond Chicken EVER! 11/22/2006

It has been a while since I could brag for a Chinese restaurant, but this is one of those times. This place was great. I went with my daughter, we both were treated like gold. The food was delicious and lots of it! I am very picky when it comes to asian food. The almond chicken was the best I have ever had! I have made it my place to go for chinese food now. A must try! Pros: Great food, kind folks, good price! more
