China House

Don't think dumb dumb was even writing about China House (I don't remember them even seling spring rolls which is what he/she described). I started eating there in the late 90's and it's always been consistantly great. I live in the Dallas area, now, but I spent a lot of time traveling around the country and Mexico, and I have yet to find better Chinese food anywhere. The only reason I was looking for reviews is that I am heading back up to IL for a trip in a month and was going to make a special trip to Warrenville just for the food. I used to go to this place all the time about 5 years ago and everyone that I brought there loved it! I even brought my picky eating boss there and he loved it. I recently moved back to the area and went back. It's the same yummy food and same owners always happy to see you. I have a friend that does not live in the area and will make special trips to eat here. The food here is great and I would recommend to anyone! Saw the ""Not Recommended review and was puzzled. There are a couple of other Chinese restaurants near China House that I have tried and will not go back. Maybe the reviewer was confused themselves. My family has eaten at China House since they opened and still can't get enough. The egg rolls are the best I have ever had. I highly recommend the Szechwan Chicken. Ask them to put in enough heat for your personal taste. Each dish is made with the same consistancy each time I eat there. Have had trays of food for parties back at the house and never a guest complaint about the food but rather heaps of praise. The owners are sweet people who really care about the food the customers and the business. Worth going out of your way. I have been going to china house since the 1980's at least once per week. It is the best chinese food at a great price in the warrenville area. I do not even consider going to any other chinese resturants for lunch. The CON for ambience is because my wife complained about it. But I am not there for ambience I am there for the food! Not sure if the other reviewers were writing about the correct place. The food at China House is superb. The egg rolls are excellent (regular or veggie), and they make the best rice (recommend asking for Hot Hot). Try #30, shrimp w/ lobster sauce. Not sure what happened to the above reviewer, but it makes me sad. This has been my favorite tai food restaurant for many many years. I've been to many tai type restaurants all around the area, but this one has always taken the cake. I'm a big fried rice fan. You need to try the house fried rice. The food here was terrible. The eggrolls have the thick rice paper on the outside and on the inside was some kind of sugar sweet mush. The H/S soup was not even edible.
