I just have recently move to the greater North Tampa Area and found this spot just a few minutes from my house. Its has a very non descript exterior but growing up in california around a ton of great asian cuisine I find these places are often the best. Their Japanese food is very good, the sushi is fresh and the chef has enough sense to be honest on what is tasting good that day and what is so so. Now being both a Chinese and Japanese eatery a lot of alarm bells would normally go off but China Fuji keeps thing relativly simple and does them well. Their Tempura is very tasty and the Hawaiian roll is excellent (Salmon and Cream Cheese roll flash fried and served with a creamy dipping sauce). If you want to get really extravagant try the Surf and Turf roll which was best described by my friend as being ""Buttery Beef Explosion"". As for there Chinese food, the dishes I have sampled I found it to be ""OK"". The friend rice is a little heavy on the soy and I found most crispy dishes (I.e. orange chicken, sesame chicken, etc.) Where a bit soggy for my taste. As for the service it is VERY friendly and the atmosphere is very casual. A great lunch spot to say the very least.
Pros: Great quick lunch, good sushi, friendly service.
Cons: OK chinese food, sort of hidden away
