First, I will agree that China China is not the best Chinese food restaurant. Food and service could be a lot better and you easily can walk down the El Camino and go pay $35+ for this superior food and service elsewhere. However, there are at least two HUGE things going for it that many of the negative reviewers are not mentioning. One, is the the outstanding value for the price (one low flat rate gets you all you can eat including seafoods, salad, sushi, soups, dim sum, and dessert). And two, the unusual (read: normally pricey) menu selections that are included in the buffet. These items include, honey-braised prawns, roast duck, dim sum dumplings, REAL dungeness crab, oysters, mussels, and delicate pastry desserts. Heck for that price, I will go to China China just to eat the duck which alone you could not get anywhere else for under 20 bucks. I know that fried and battered items are greasy, duh, that's why I limit their portions... use some common sense. China China is NOT a great Chinese restaurant, but it is decent and even does some things well (like the crab, duck and the prawns).
Pros: Outstanding Value
Cons: Neglible Service for which they expect a tip
