well, in anticipation of our trip to Texarkana last Saturday, I saw an ad for ribs from Chili's
Now, believe it or not, I have NEVER had ribs at Chili's
in Louisiana, and here previous, I have had my standard chicken fried steak meal.
the rib plate is $13.99, with that you can have a whole rack, or 2 half racks , seasoned differently.
I opted for Honey barbecue, and Kentucky bourbon sauce on my plate.
I forget what 2 Charlene had, hopefully she will add her opinions in her review.
with the ribs, we had a choice of 2 vegetables.
we both had loaded mashed potatoes, cheese, and real bacon chunks were added to the mound, and a bowl of cinnamon cooked apples.
the apples were a great accompanying side, I wish I had a spoon to get the last little dregs of sauce out of the bowl... delicious
I had blackberry iced tea, unsweetened... it was delicious, and did not need sweetening.
the waitress was attentive, came by often, bringing refills as needed , without prompting, and provided wet naps, and lots of napkins.
Waiting time was NIL, even though there were some waiting when we arrived. the hostess noticed I had a disability, and asked if I would like to sit at a close by table, and she would have it cleared. Yes, that will be nice, thank you. The table was cleared about the time Charlene got back from parking the car.
the portions were adequate, and we opted not to have dessert.... we were comfortably happy.
an option on ribs, which I considered, and was glad I did not get was a salad, a half rack of ribs, french fries and dessert for $9.99.
not a bad deal, but I wanted to sample two styles of ribs.
