At last, my hubby and I got to go out to eat…at a sit down restaurant….without Henry, our 10 month old son. It was our anniversary and a coworker of my hubby’s gave him a gift card to Chili’s. Grandma and Grandpa babysat Henry for the evening while we got to do the ever so rarity of doing a dinner and a movie. The last few times I’d been to Chili’s which have been a looooong time haven’t been memorable…they weren’t bad, I just don’t remember my visits and the food must have been ok. This time we went we were seated within a minute of walking in the door. This was around 5pm on a Saturday so that’s great in my opinion. Our server was one of those very outgoing and often stopping by to see how we were doing. He was also one of those servers that likes to talk and talk and tell you things that he would tell his best friend like how annoying another girl is that he works with. LOL That’s ok though because I’d rather have that than no conversation. The food came within about 15 minutes. My hubby got a steak and I got a pasta dish and both were very good. Chili’s has a lot more offerings than what I remember last time, at least with the appetizers, and I’m a big appetizer eater! Hehe Also, to me it seemed the prices were taken down a notch than what I’m used to so that was a bonus.
