Children's Orchard

I'm honestly not that impressed with our local Children's Orchard anymore. Years ago, I used to go in and come up with bags and bags full of nearly-new name brand and boutique clothes. I was lucky to get out of the store without spending at least $100 per trip. The last couple times I was in though, I just wasn't able to find the quality of items I wanted at the low prices I'd like to pay. The store seems to be filled with off-brands from Target, Wal Mart, etc... and not the Gymboree, Gap, etc... that I prefer. There weren't very many matching sets and those that I was finding, weren't even sized the same (for example: a 12-18 months top with 6-12 months pair of shorts). I was also really surprised to see that many items were faded and showed significant washwear or slight marks - and these weren't even on the play clothes rack! I'm not at all crazy about the current staff here... in fact, I feel that they've been quite rude at times. I have 5 kids in their sizing range and would love to be able to spend some money with this store! I have found a lot of great deals in this store and love the ides of children's resale. We pay a lot for our kids' clothes and the\y normally grow out of their clothing before they wear it out, so buying used is a great idea. However, I have not been pleased with reselling to this store. They have frequently offered $1 to $2 items for nice brand name items that are in great condition. I know from shopping there that they will mark some of these items at $8 or $9. I would much rather find someone to give my kids' hand me downs to than to sell them to this store for such a low price. more

Childrens Orchard is a great place to go when you need baby/children items and clothing at a very reasonable price, you can walk in here and come out with a ton of stuff for the price of one or two outfits. I recommend this place to anyone shopping on a budget more

The staff at the Olathe Children's orchard is MUCH friendlier than the "other" resale clothing franchise that is nearby. The selection is great and I appreciate not having to dig through racks of low-quality items in order to find nice clothes. Everything I have ever purchased from this store has been in perfect working order. My only complaint is sometimes I do feel that the prices could be a little bit lower, but it's still better than paying for new and the quality really is "like new" most of the time. more

Several locations around the area so check all of the out. They each have something different to offer and great deals waiting. You can find coupons in the local booklets they send in the mail sometimes towards purchases on items or store credits. I love the huge variety they offer in clothing and accessories. They also have a large assortment of toys and baby items. I find a deal I go in here. Some of the items are even brand new!! more

This place is a gem. I usualy load up when I am there. Most items are only a few dollars a piece. Very affordable. Great selection that changes almost daily. They also offer, coats, shoes, toys and baby gear. Several locations all over the metro area! more

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The prices are good to start with---then if things aren't moving---they start marking them down. I have purchased some things that have NEVER been worn---for 99 cents. They seem to have a good selection (at least in the size that I was looking for). more
