Looking for a place to take your children for some playtime? Take them to The Children's Museum of Denver. This museum is full of fun activities for children to use their imaginations - as well as their energy. They also get to mingle with other children. Babies under the age of 2 have their own play area designed just for them. Older children will enjoy playing upstairs. Fun for all ages 2/8/2006

I find this hard to believe, but it seems like just yesterday that I was bringing my own kids to the Children's Museum and now I am bringing my toddler granddaughter! There is something to be said for longevity, however and the Denver Children's Museum is still getting it right. Everything is just the right size for little ones! For years, they have consistently creative, high-quality hands-on exhibits. What kid doesn't love playing grocery store?? Their story time is also quite good. the staff there is great--nothing seems to ruffle their feathers. Another place we always take out-of-towners with their kids when they come to visit. It's not to be missed! more

Fun For All! 2/1/2006

The Children's Museum is a really great place to go for kids of all ages. They have a special area for kids that aren't walking yet, which is nice. They also offer several unique programs, especially around holidays! Everything is interactive for the kids, so they really learn by doing! more

Great Variety 11/11/2005

The Children's Museum is filled with a variety of experiences for toddlers and elementary aged children. The two level museum has mazes, a toddler play area, basketball area, store set-up, craft area and much much more. It seems to be directed primarily at those aged 10 and under. It is rather expensive and can be overcrowded on the weekends or for special events. On those days the kids don't get to play with the things they would like to and it makes the trip not worth the money. Stick to weekdays and there doesn't seem to be issues with the crowding. Parking is sufficient though it can be a bit of a walk on a busier day. There are picnic tables near the parking lot. more

Fun place for kiddos 10/30/2005

My kids still love this museum and they are 6 and 8! It has the best hands on things for them to do. They love the grocery store. They have a track that you put metal balls on and watch them go down to the lower level. There are things for kids to do that teaches them about science and nature. Great fun! more

Fun learning 8/11/2005

This place is fantastic for your young child or toddler. With one hands-on activity after another you can spend the whole afternoon here. There are take home crafts and a lot of fun learning opportunities. Crowded on the weekends, great during the week. more

A fun day with a 3 year old 8/3/2005

The denver children's museum is a great day out. Your child is bound to enjoy the story times, the firetruck and the grocery store! Whether your kids are babies or 10, there is something there for them. After a few hours I am exhausted, but my daughter is still going strong. There is just enough to do that you can hit it all in a day, but not too much to where you feel overwhelmed. Take a day, drive downtown, and let your kids run wild! They will take a great nap on the way home! more
