Good idea, poor implementation. 11/13/2006

We took our 4 year old son to the Children's Museum after viewing their website. Thinking that $7 was a good deal, we went around 11:30 AM on a Saturday. This turned out to be a mistake. First of all, this place was completely overrun by kids. I understand that this is the purpose of a children's museum but it was not equipped to handle but a fraction of the visitors. Second, this place was severely understaffed. There was no order. We spent most of the time searching for an opening. If your child is not highly aggressive, they will not enjoy themselves as they will not get their turn in any of the rooms. And do not count on the parents as it seemed they merely dropped off their kids and kept no watch over some of these very rude and misbehaved children. The only saving grace was a firetruck on the bottom floor that our son was able to play on. The idea was great but at the end of the day, we ended up with a son who was very dissappointed. I would recommend that if you wish to visit the Children's Museum to try to do so during the week, perhaps it will not be as crowded. Pros: Building look great to kids during the approach Cons: Crowds, understaffed, not enough stations to accomodate more

Great Place for the Kids 7/31/2005

I've been taking my daughter to this museum since she was six months old. She's loved it every time. We can spend two or three hours there (and that's a long time for a baby) and she dosen't get bored at all. If you go early the museum isn't that crowded even on Saturdays. They have special activitys every day of the week. I'm excited to see how my daughter continues to enjoy and explore this wonderful museum as she grows older. Pros: Good from birth up, Good value, Free Parking Cons: Restaraunt Selection more

THE BEST THING EVER 4/1/2003

I wish we had something this cool where I live. It is like a perment play group. Although I did notice it was very busy on the 8 yr and older sections, the small children's section was fantastic. They have toys, a bridge my son could crawl around on, and so much more. I was secptical when the web site said from birth on up, but it is true, a newborn would have fun at this place. The best part, my son played so hard, he slept through the night!! They could seperate the older kids from the younger kids a little better. Pros: FUN, FUN, FUN, lots to do, good for any age Cons: Not much seperation, a little crowded more
