this is the only real "children's museum" in town. it can't really stand up to a comparison of some of the bigger and better ones on the mainland, but it holds it own. it also has gotten better over the last couple years, i think. one thing--there is a "toddler" section, which is quite small, in the first part of the museum. but for the most part, it really isn't worth your money until your kid is walking and likes pretend play, so that means at least 2 years old if not later. we got a yearly membership as a gift, and my dd is JUST starting to enjoy it and "get it" and she's about 18 months. also, you have to park your strollers at the door, so if your kid likes to be carried a lot, bring a sling or backpack.
