Children's Courtyard

I take my 3 children here for after school and summers. They love it. The staff are very caring and attentive to the children. There are a lot of activities both during the year and in summer. The kids are never bored. I highly recommend the FM CCY. more

My child attends the Wellington Children's Courtyard and since the new director, Nicole started, I have seen alot of wonderful changes. My child really enjoys his teachers and they seem to be more professional and have more training and are happier. The same teachers have been there and my child recognizes most of the staff there. I have recommended this school to many of my friends and neighbors. more

I can say this about the Children's Courtyard. The teacher turnover rate is out of control and the managment team cares very little about giving a teacher a chance to get a classroom together. They push the teacher/student ratio rates and dont care about the teachers having adequate support to manage their classrooms. As a parent I would not recommend the program for any age group. Take the time to really watch and observe the school before you decide to enroll. more

My Grandson WAS in the after school part of CC for the summer program. What a nightmare. He has been removed because there was NO supervision and the bullying got physical. With a 9 month old being close to ready for daycare this CC is OFF the list. I pray something will be done to improve this CC. more

My kids were in Children's Courtyard since infancy. I always liked them, but lately the teaching staff is sub-par. That is...when they stick around long enough to demonstrate competency. There are some exceptions, but I have moved my children to another school after being here for 4 years! The children spend all day running around like monkeys - there is no education happening here.\r \r On the up-side, their infant program is good. I think this is a good place for the babies until they are old enough for a Montessori - or other more educational program. more

We had both our kids enrolled at the Wellington Children's Courtyard in Flower Mound for the past three years. We took them out in Fall '08 after being completely unsatisfied with their management team.\r \r We had enrolled our kids three years ago when Janine Howard used to manage the day care. Ever since she left, the management team has not been able to find an effective school director. We saw three school directors go through the revolving door during our tenure. All the exceptional teachers we had come to like quit the school during this time. Their pre-school enrollment has dropped by more than 50%. \r \r The overall impact has been very negative and it has rubbed off on the staff as well. There has been a heavy turnover of teachers. Everyone seems to be doing their job as if there was no other alternative and it reflected in our kids not liking to go to the day care any more. I used Childrens Courtyard when my son for 4 years beginning when my son was in Kindergarten. It was a very positive experience for us, and we never had any problems. They have a good summer program for school aged kids that offers many activities. more
