Children's Courtyard

My daughter was bitten by a child from her class. After a few months, she was getting bitten twice a week by three different children. I brought it up to management and they gave me the song and dance. Ultimately, nothing was done. Once we gave our two week notice, they really didn't care about her getting bitten. She's in a much better preschool that focuses on academics. more

My son has been going to Children's Courtyard in Coppell for several years, and now that he is older (nine years old) it is quite simply ideal. They have plenty of activities that keep him interested. Their facility is one of the best I've seen, and many of the same kids are there year after year. They separate the younger kids from the older kids and that means a lot to a nine year old boy! I've not had any major issues with the staff and the management has stayed partially intact the entire time he has been there. I would recommend it very highly. more

Both of my children attend CCY, my daughter in the afterschool care and loved it. They had separates room to do homework, tv, computers, games, and activities and it was a separate building from the younger children. She loved the teen director. My son started in the infants rooms and had several good teachers and some I didn"t care for, the director seemed to run off the good ones, but she is gone now as well. Traffic gets tough since it is in the path of the high school parent loop. more

Our son has been there for about 2 months. The teachers have great attitudes; they care very much for the children and seem knowledgeable in the area of child care. However, you have to make sure you ask for things like "tummy time" and other developmental exercises. We were told during the "sales pitch" we received when we originally toured the facility that this was done automatically... it isn't, so you have to be sure to ask for it.\r Also, they don't take credit cards. As a result, we lose out on about 12,000 miles per year because we have to pay by check every week. A relatively minor issue, but annoying nonetheless. Two other small issues are their location, which is just outside one of the main entrances to Coppell High School. Traffic in the morning is quite simply a nightmare. Plan on spending 10 extra minutes (no exaggeration) in traffic getting in and out. Evening is no problem, since school lets out around 3:30. Also, there is no "drive-up", so you and your child more
