I too was promised pictures and infor that would be kept up-to-date on my baby girl that my ob-gyn coerced me into giving up. I was told over and over that I was too young and he could help me that he had a family that was looking for a baby - I trusted this doctor. His wife was the attorney and I was told that it had to go through this Children of the World adoption agency. I have copies of her birth certificate and papers from the COW place and nothing seems to be legit. The more research I do the worse it gets. There is no record of my daughter and I have been continuously ignored, no calls returned, letters gone unanswered. I agree something should be done. When I went through this process they were located in Glen Ridge, NJ and then Bloomfield. Where are they now? I cannot get in touch with anyone. Anyone with info or suggestions I would love to know and appreicate your help. more

My name is Evita!!!!I gave up twin boys 7yrs ago and it was the hardest thing for me to do,This agency seemed so sincere to me and i really believed them.They promised me I will recieve pictures of the boys for six months and didnt recieve anything ,they also avoided my phone calls and about 3wks to a month after I given the boys up for adoption the father called them and wanted the babies because he was not involved at all .They told him it was to late he had no rights ,this agency should be sued and shut down .They are liars and only use vulnerable woman/girls to get what they want for money .And for all you woman/girls thinking of adoption dont theres help out there look............Or you'll suffer for the rest of your life. all I wanted was pictures to capture the moment,while they have the luxury of having the moment its harder on us this is what no one understands.Even though they will make you believe they do .you give these families a life and they take yours, and to all those adoptees,You will have to answer to these children when they know the truth and just like you lied to us and turned your backs on us these kids will do the same to you ..........PLEASE WOMAN/GIRLS theres help out there don't wait until its to late like I did,Even the adoptees promised me they are not gonna keep the boys from me .As soon as i signed the papers they wouldn;t answer the phone anymore and then changed there number and for years, I have been trying to get picture I am always depressed and never want to have kids again because of this .They took my time of need and desperation and used it against me ,I had no where to live,No money and they seen I was up against the wall they know exactly know what there doing,and they do it well so many have done this and girls we pay the price,I had an open adoption it only means when the children get 18 they can get the records to find you we have no rights after we sign the papers believe me know matter what they tell you PRAY TO GOD! more

i used children of the world back in 1997.It was the hardest decision of my life.I was suppose to receive pictures of my son that they adopted out and only received them for about 2 months and then they quit.I was told that i would get them 2x a year @ 6 pictures each time.I have called them many times and they have yet to return my call. I was told the adoptive parents have moved but i think its a load of crap.They don't want me to have anything.They also tell u they have a box for each child when they turn of age thats also a lie I will find my son when he is 18 and i don't care how much it cost me.My sons name at the time was Richard and he is 11 years old now. Everything this company told me has been nothing but a lie and ladies /girls if u decide to adopt out your baby, please make sure u do an open adoption to where u can still be in the child's life because as a mom, its the hardest thing always wondering how your baby is doing and never knowing till u meet again. I didn't know about open adoption as i was only 21 and now i wish i did so i would never sit here wondering anymore. Once u sign the papers with this company they are done with u like yesterdays trash. I hope that they see this because not only have they lied to me but they were always rude and never call u back.
