11 years ago, during my wife's first pregnancy we were seeking a childcare center for our then to be future son. At the time we discovered Childgarden it was in a different location and was run solely by the St. Louis ARC. Now it is run by a partnership which includes the ARC and Easter Seals/UCP. They moved into a new center about 7 years ago but stayed in the same general CWE neighborhood. What we found was a child development center which was inclusive in every way racially, economically, educationally and developmentally. That is because one of missions of Childgarden is to provide an inclusive childcare environment for both normally developing kids and those that need more attention and care than other centers are equipped to provide. As this was our first child we struggled with the decision to put him in childcare at all but once we did we realized we had made the right decision.
