Child Support Enforcement

I AM A SINGLE MOTHER WHO WISHES SOMEONE OUT THERE WOULD HELP ME CHANGE THE LAW THAT A PERSON WHO RECEIVES AN S.S.I CHECK DOES NOT HAVE TO PAY CHILD SUPPORT. MY SONS FATHER DOES NOT HELP ME AT ALL,AND THERE IS NOTHING I CAN DO ABOUT IT.IT IS SAD THAT PEOPLE LIKE THAT CAN BRING LIFE INTO THIS WORLD, AND NEVER HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF IT .PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!! more

I have found that the DHHR in Montgomery, AL is NO HELP at all when trying to collect child support for out of state shild support cases. My caseworker in NC has been trying to get enforcement on our case for 2 years, with little to no response from DHHR. There is a 10 day arrest order for my daughter's father, James Allen Strankman, and he has not been arrested once for non-payment in the 4 1/2 years that he has lived there to evade paying child support. DHHR is aware that he is almost $6000.00 in arrearages, and they continue to do nothing about his Non-support of our child. He is also supposed to provide medical coverage and pay half of all remaining medical, dental, and vision bills and he has NEVER done any of this.....and what does DHHR do, NOTHING!!! I have contacted them myself on numberous occasions and they always say that all communication has to be done through my caseworker here in NC. But, she gets no response from them either. I have contacted the governers office, the district attorney's office and the director of DHHR on county and state levels, and still he walks around, a man free of his obligations to his child, due to the lack of enforcement of DHHR Montgomery County, AL.
