Received call from MRI confirming my appointment for Saturday, October 20, 2007 at 8:30 a.m. but instructed to arrive at 8:00 a.m. Received second call stating the MRI center still needed insurance authorization. Called my Dr's office ? they stated that they had just got off the phone w/MRI center and that they now had the information they needed. Called MRI center to double check that everything was okay ? was told that it was.\r

Arrived at parking lot 7:55 a.m. stated my name and that I was there for an MRI. Entered building and greeted receptionist with a ?good morning? she could barely utter a good morning back and asked that I be seated. Told fifteen minutes later that I didn?t have an appointment, I explained that I had been called with a confirmation call plus I called back to reconfirm the appointment the afternoon before. She told me in a surly manner she?d ""see what she could do about it"" and asked me to be seated and attended to other patients. Waited another ten minutes and was told I could be fit in but have to wait another 20 minutes. Fearing that this was not an honest assessment and that the wait could turn out to be a further waste of my time I asked to reschedule. Re-scheduled for 3:30 p.m. the same day and was asked to be there at 3:00 p.m.\r

Arrived at 3pm the new receptionist stated they didn?t have the Dr?s order ? the receptionist from the a.m. stated they did - then they proceeded. Finally, had my MRI ? assistant who escorted me to room - He was friendly and helpful throughout the procedure.
Pros: Attendant throughout MRI procedure was friendly and helpful
Cons: A.M. - Receptionist was surly and not upfront w/there being an issue and wasted my time
