Find the Great Shops in SOHO 3/7/2012

A really unique experience--a fun and informative couple of hours. We not only enjoyed the guided tour of some of the best places to shop, but also the details of the neighborhood architecture and urban folklore. We would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys a walking tour. The samples and giveaways were a pleasant surprise. The two guides were charming and very knowledgeable. more

Loved the tour and the tour guide 3/7/2012

My sister, 14 year old daughter and I took the Soho/Nolita tour led by Chris on our recent girls weekend to NYC. I can't say enough positive things about our experience. It was AWESOME!! We visited or window shopped boutiques and stores that we would not have experienced without the tour. My daughter got to ""model"" a skirt in one of the boutiques for the group which was such a kick for her. We sampled chocolate and went into a taxidermy store that had fossils and all kinds of unique stuff. Chris is knowledgable about the architecture and history of the area so it was more than ""just"" shopping education! There was lots of stores and territory to cover in 3 hours and the time flew by. Thank you Chris and Chic Shopping tours!!!! Have recommended you to all my friends. more

NY Shopping Tour worth the time, money 3/2/2012

Took my 22 year old daughter on the Soho tour having know idea what to expect. We were pleasntly surprised to find out what a comprehensive couple of hours it was. Really enjoyed the shops we were brought to which were good for both of us. Some great for me some great for her... Learned a ton about the area too and that was an added perk more

fabulous shopping trip,so much fun! 3/1/2012

I was lucky enough to get a tour with Sarah who was absolutely wonderful. I went solo and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Everyone in my tour group was also very nice, building a shopping experience unlike any other. This isn't just your average NY experience. Having lived here and worked in the fashion industry I still learned a few new things. I had a wonderful time and would recommend this tour to anyone looking for unique pieces, great deals, and inside information on the historic Soho & Nolita district. more

Had a great girls day out adventure exploring and shopping some really interesting places in Soho and Nolita. Our guide helped us pick out some great stylish items. My friend and I both came back with fabulous fur-trimmed wraps. I had so much fun! more

Best tour in New York 7/10/2011

I don't usually write reviews online but had to do it this time as I simply had to tell others about these guys. I love NYC and come out with my 2 girls every summer. We have tried the Food Tasting Tours of New York City, Cultural Walking Tours, City Sights Tour. We even did the Sex and the City walking tour. However, for someone who struggles with getting dressed in the morning and can't afford to spend upwards of $200 per hour to hire a personal stylist, this shopping tour was by far the best value and best tour we have ever done! Chic Shopping Tour's guides are real personal shoppers who work with private clients and put wardrobes together for people. And to think I got such knowledge for only $59 for 3 hours!!! That is just simply amazing. Our tour guide gave me a great understanding of what styles and cuts are right for my body type and helped me pick out a couple of amazing outfits. So so worth it. I will be back! more

Best and most Fun Tour in NYC 3/2/2011

A wonderful tour of shops that would otherwise be unknown to the visiting shopper! This is truly a worth while tour if you want to shop like New Yorkers. Boutiques and stores on the tour are at a variety of price points, so merchandise is accessible to all shoppers. Small groups make it more customizable to fit your needs as a fashionista. Our tour guide was absolutely fun and knowledgable about all things SOHO. I will book this tour everytime I visit the city! FABULOUS! more

Great tour of the best of NYC shopping 12/26/2010

It was a ""Girls"" weekend in NYC and we wanted to see different areas of the City but not sure where we could find the best shopping and the best sites...I found the tour online and I have been on other Zerve tours before so I knew it would be a FUN tour and they would not dissapoint! Our tour guide Sarah was wonderful! It seemed as if we knew her forever and she was like ""one of the girls"" to us! She asked each of us what we would like to get out of the tour and she met all of our requests and expectations! We had such a great time and she also included little ""extras"" such as fun facts and Celebrity information as we walked past certain hot spots! She was really fun and took us to the best boutiques in the area! We saw all the beautiful areas of SOHO and it was so fun I want to bring my sister back so she can experience the same! If you want to visit the SOHO NoLita area and not sure where to start this is a great tour! Take notes along the way of your favorite shops. There was so much to see and it was a great time! There was something for each one of us in my group of friends! We thoroughly enjoyed the trip! Had I tried to do this on my own I would have never known where to stop or know the history behind the boutiques and their designers...Sarah was fabulous and Zerve... you have never let me down...Also just a side note on one of their other tours...the Sex and the City Tour is a hoot! If you love the show you will love the tour and you'll see a lot of NYC during the tour as well! Thank you Chic Tours and Zerve for a wonderful time and I will definitely bring my sister and other girlfriends back to NYC and take the SOHO NoLita Tour again! more

Great gift idea ..shopping tour! 12/8/2010

As a gift to my fiance, I signed up for a shopping tour with Chic Inspirations. My fiance had an absolute blast! These people know a lot of great places to shop, and take you into stores, sample sales and showrooms that you would NEVER be able to get in on your own (or even know about). Also, considering how much money you save on the clothes, the cost of the tour is a no brainer. For all the guys out there, this makes a GREAT gift for your girlfriend, fiance, or wife who loves to shop. I actually joined the tour and had a good time myself, but you could just as easily catch a Yankees or Mets game while your significant other shops to her heart's content. more

Great tour company, great tours of nyc 12/6/2010

Myself, my mother, and my mother in law came up for a long weekend in October . Ages 30, 52, 57. Our tour guide was magnificent! She was fun, engaging, knowledgeable, and well organized. The tour pace was very do-able for all in our group. Great tips on where to go/ where you'll want to stay away. We did this tour and then on another day w/ another tour company and I regret that the timing didn't work out for us to take both tours with Chic NYC Shopping Tours. Chic NYC Shopping Tours was EXTREMELY well planned, organized, top-notch, experienced tour. I can't say the same for the ""other"" tour- it did not measure up. Thanks for the memories! more

Awesome Tour!!! 12/6/2010

I attended the Soho and Nolita Shoopping Tour during a vacation to NYC. This tour was a hilight of my vacation. The tour guide was informative without becoming dull or talking too much and entertaining without becoming ""cheesy"". A comfortable atmosphere was maintained through the trip as the tour guide presented information, provided insights to the area, and offered style advice. The tour guide also maintained a comfortable pace so that we neither felt rushed nor lingered in one store too long. In addition, I was impressed that the guide was able to tactfully redirect questions and ""dawdlers"" so that the entire group was able to see as many places as possible and truly benefit from the tour. I can't wait to try all the other tours offered and will plan my next NYC vacation around doing so. more

Things to do in NYC 11/30/2010

We throughly enjoyed the Soho and Nolita Tour. This was such a fun thing to do in NYC. Our guide Sarah was wonderful. She knew the stores in the area as well as the history. Sarah set a comfortable pace and kept us entertained with the history and little known facts about the area as we walked from store to store. So much fun! Loved it and definitely recommend it! more

We didn't know what to expect, but decided to check out the tour to learn more about an area of NY that we wanted to explore. The tour was EXCELLENT! Our guide, Sarah, was fabulous! She was so well spoken, knew so much about the area and the shops/architecture/history, etc.! Each stop was different yet interesting. We would highly recommend this tour to others hoping to learn more about the area and do some serious SHOPPING more

a must-do tour 7/19/2010

If you want to find the best places to shop, you gotta take the tour! Our guide was amazing! We weren't just given store info, but history and great places to eat (try the Prince Cafe on Prince street, we LOVED it). We even had serveral New Yorkers on the tour so they could be ""in-the-know"" on the newest-best places to shop. Our tour didn't even end at a store but with the Young Designer's Market - there were so many talented people, just waiting to be discovered. We bought from PASTE for my teenage son (boarder dude/dudette stuff) and Another Lady -for my teenage daughter. We made a few other purchases at Min.k , TE CASAN; Yellow Rat Bastard and Bloomingdale's. But you need to take the tour 'cause there are too many great places to mention. You'll be so glad you did! more

Fun and interesting thing to do in New York City 7/16/2010

We came across these tours when looking for fun things to do in New York City, decided to sign up and were so thrilled with the experience! Our tour guide Sarah was great! Total New Yorker -she does this on the weekend and is a stylist by trade. She styles photo shoots and dressed celebrities! We took the Soho and Nolita shopping tour and she showed us some really neat stores and even put an amazing outfit together for me! It was such a fun way to spend 3 hours, see the city and do something I can't wait to tell people back home about! Pros: Inexpensive for what it is! more

Good time and very helpful 7/12/2010

My daughter and I were lucky that there were just the two of us on this tour so we were able to customise it for ourselves. We saw many parts of New York that we would not normally have found on our own, especially in the couple of days that we were there. Our guide took us to many different really cool and unique stores. We also visited a cool bazaar which housed many new clothes and jewellery designers showing their wares, we spent a short time there with our guide and even managed to find our own way back on our own and bought many unusual gifts - the tour is definitely worth going on. Pros: Very cool and fun experience more

Fun thing to do in New York 6/21/2010

My mom, sis and I took this tour on a busy Saturday. Our tour guide (who is a stylist) was terrific. I wanted to find a cute date outfit and she showed me several things I would have never picked up myself. Even though we were a few minutes late, she was very accomodating to us. We visited several fun places and got some details and history of the neighborhood. She was always careful to help us get our bearings and helpful answering questions. We had a group of about 10, which was a great size. My only complaint would be that a few of the stores were not my taste, but you can't please everyone. Overall, the experience was great, the group was the perfect size, and we got a great overview of the area and some eclectic shops. I'd definitely do it again! Pros: Professional stylist is your tour guide, not expensive more
