After 3 years, I'm pleased to say that this is one of the greatest homes I've ever known. The manager is - in fact - not the horrible ogre that the other reviewer claims, but personal gripes like that are common and understandable. I find him to be accommodating and thoughtful, personal quirks notwithstanding. Beautiful corner units and a fabulous location are compromised by its proximity to touristy Lombard Street's famous section, and the throng of addle-brained tourists that make a point of gawking at its switchbacks. 900 Chestnut's massive oak entry door, it's imposing bronze address plaque, and it's understated neo-classical Spanish Mission lobby make this a wonderful home.
Pros: Proximity to North Beach and Russian Hill, great street parking, corner units
Cons: Tourists, tourists, tourists
