I went to Dr. Gal of Chester Pike Animal Hospital for a routine declawing and neutering of my @ 1 year old male cat, Smokey. Many years ago, I had lost a kitten during the same procedure at a different animal hospital and was very nervous about bringing my cat in - hence the delay until he was a year old. From the minute I entered the facility, I was reassured and put at ease. Dr. Gal's assistant, Karen, obviously loves animals. She let me hold my pet for the inoculations, showed me exactly where he would be staying while there (very clean), and took the time to explain what would happen/what to expect afterward. The other animals there at the time looked like they were being well cared for.\r

Dr. Gal was also very reassuring. His calm demeanor instilled confidence . I'm sure I must have appeared anxious and probably asked some pretty obvious questions, but he never made me feel like I was overreacting. He made sure I was comfortable with how I would be administering Smokey's
