I have never been so disapopinted by the decision of Chesterbrook Academy not to accept daycare program voucher program. These vouchers are not “handouts” both parent’s have to be activity working full time and/or going to school full time. My wife and I are doing both. I am a current medical student and my wife is first year college student working towards the nursing program. In the summer, my wife works full time and I am in school full time. The moral hurt came when I first encountered the princial. I was lead to believe that my children were wanted there. The center’s prinicpal Stacey Edwards wrote in an email, “I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, as I am sure your family would be a welcome addition to Chesterbrook Academy.” As i asked more questions i learned through research that Chesterbrook accademy accepts vouchers in other states as well as *used to* accept the voucher at the sewell location. The center still has children in the the program. I was told that the center is waiting for the children to age out. I spoke wtih the Executor Director, Daisy Anetor and she did not want to work with me at all. I offered to personally make sure that there would be no hippups in payment from the voucher program. I offered to give a 2 week full payment as a “emergency fund” if the voucher program gets delayed. I understand that everything costs money and everyone has bills. I inquired even more with her and her main reason was that it was “too much work” for the Prinpical Stacy Edwards to keep track of my two boys regarding the voucher program. My wife and I offered to handle any “situation” immedetely regarding the voucher program. I asked what if the principal Edwards aggrees to take on this responsibility does that change the sitation. I was told that she would not agree. I am being told two different things regarding a very important matter.
