Ate there the first time ever last night for Valentine's Day. The service and food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was great. I had the Captains Platter. I recommend this restaurant any day of the week. more

This is a wonderful restaurant for seafood as well as steak. They serve warm mini loaves of bread with the meal. We live in the area and usually try to get there for the early bird specials which are Sunday - Friday, 4 - 6 pm. and range between $8 - $11. Service has always been very good, too. Casual... more

The Chesapeake Seafood House is a great place to eat. I enjoy the relaxing atmosphere. It is always a pleasure to dine here as a casual night out or on a special occasion. This is the 4th time I've eaten at the Chesapeake Seafood House while in Springfield for a reading conference, and my co-workers and I have never been disappointed. The Chesapeake has the best lunch buffet, hands down. Very reasonably priced, choice of food for all tastes. There are several kinds of fish available, as well as shrimp, but don't let ""SeafoodHouse"" scare you off, there's plenty of ""normal"" food to eat. more

We were surprised to find a restaurant with such great seafood so far from the sea. My husband and I both had the filet and shrimp special. The 6 oz. filet was the melt-in-your-mouth variety. The restaraunt was suggested by the hotel staff as a local favorite that had better quality food and half the price of Red Lobster. We came without reservations late on a sunday. It was like going to a northern Wisconsin supper club. Many locals go and are known by first name. The food was very good. The service was exemplary. We would go again on our next visit. more

Cheasapeake is a unique place to dine as it is housed in an old mansion built in the 1850's. The atmosphere is wonderful and the food is awesome. The menu consists of seafood, steaks, pasta, ribs and chicken, and more. more

The Best Seafood In Town 9/9/2005

Chesepeake has the best tasting and the best priced seafood in Springfield. Chesepeake is housed in an historical mansion and it is a wonderful place to eat because of the scenery. They serve steak, lobster, and seafood and also have daily lunch and dinner specials. It is always crowded which can be a downside but it is always busy because it is so good. You can make reservations and that means you will not have to wait. more
