We first ate at Chef Mickey's five years ago while we were on vacation with my entire family. My daughter and my niece were both three at the time, we also had my older neice, who was six, and my son, who was 8. We dressed the girls up in princess costumes, to really get into the feel of it.(I tried to talk my son into a Peter Pan costume, but he wouldn't go for it!) We were unsure at first how it was going to go, because we were seated way in the back of the restaurant in a section that was somewhat separate from the rest. We shouldn't have worried! From the moment we were seated, the entire experience could only be described as magical!!!!! Mickey and Minnie came by and danced with our girls, we have some wonderful pictures of that. Goofy came and joked around, Chip and Dale were there too. At one point, we had almost all of the characters at our table, interacting with us, and allowing us to take many pictures! They spent so much time with us, it was like having the characters to ourselves! We had a late seating, and I think that is part of the reason we got so much personal attention. The food at Chef Mickey's is ok, but that's really not why you are going here! It is all you can eat, and there is a decent selection. We have been several more times, and while they weren't quite as magical as our first time, we have greatly enjoyed each visit, and we plan on going again.
