Chateau De Sable

The place has a lot of warmthness, has a homey feeling to it. The staff were very good and accomodating and made you feel right at home and relaxed. What made this spa really stand out, was that the staff took their time. The presentation of the whole place, decor etc. was wonderful. Overall, it was a wonderfully pleasant experience. Just move into area and needed to find a place to relax and unwind !!! Wow what a nice experience and a friendly staff. The spa massage was perfect, ask for Christy, she is great !!!. This place is like going to a French Chateau, the ambience, and nice atmoshere is like none what I have seen or been to, a real treat for yourself. I even found a hairstylist, Marie is so patient and its nice to find someone who really cares. She must be pretty good, couldn't get booked any earlier than about a week so looking forward to that. I have no idea where the previous two reviewers went, but it certainly couldn't have been the same spa I've come to love. The spa is immaculate, and all of the staff that I've met are extremely friendly and go above and beyond to give the best customer service experience possible. I highly recommend Claudine, she is by far the most talented and skilled esthetician I've ever had. more

I visited this shi-shi spa for a pedicure and facial. I was completely nonplussed by the service, amenities and staff. The service was one step above terrible; seemed like a facial that a bored stay at home mom was giving a girlfriend. I think my facialist may have actually been a bored stay-at-home-mom. I looked for any kind of license I could find hung on the wall, of course, nothing. Towells were as lukewarm as the staff. The amenities were laughable, a little steam room perhaps? Sauna? Sheesh. For the price paid, I expected more. But unfortunately I think any clients they get are solely to help pay thier most likely high rent. The pedicure - a metal bucket. Need I say more? I needed an Ibuprofin for my back afterwards. I've never longed so much for the sounds of Vietnamese squawking at my regular $25 mani/pedi place. The worst experience I ever had is at Chateau de Sable, in Danville, CA. The experience was so bad, I asked to speak to the owner. I explained the situation to the owner and her response was quote ""I don't care"". I will never return here and I suggest you don't either. They are less than a one star but the computer does not give me the option of giving them the correct rating. I'm sick of salons where ""everyone"" has to air out there dramas, either by yelling or with a severely annoying tone....trust this girl loves to talk, but have some class. BUT wait, is there such a place where you can actually enjoy your exprience WITHOUT noise? Well, yes..there is. It's Chateau DE Sable Day Spa in downtown Danville. I was driving in town and found it by chance. This boutique style place is too cute. Christine, my hair gal, is wonderful. She does not pressure you to do ""what's IN"", nor hard sale on products.
