The only reason I went to Chastain was because it was close. Big mistake. They were rude, tried to overcharge me, and clearly were more interested in my money than my pet's health. Kristen (I believe that was her name) was not very knowledgable, and very hesitant to answer my questions. I have some veterinary knowledge, and she insisted upon injections that were not necessary.. She became quite rude when I asked her to explain why she felt they were necessary, and failed to give me an answer. Thankfully, I have since found a vet who actually cares. more

Close and Caring Veterinary Group 2/19/2012

We have been taking our pets to this clinic since 1998 (when it was owned by Dr. Martin: Meadow Brook Animal Clinic). It is just 5 minutes away so very convenient for drop off and pick up. It is quite easy to get an appointment scheduled for your pets and we they have always taken my pets right away for emergencies. Dr. Melanie and Dr Sue are very good with my pets and at explaining what they are doing and why. All of the vet assistants seem to really love animals and handle them well. more

Best Care Possible 8/13/2011

Let's face it. vet care is not cheap, so if you're going to take care of your pet you want the best.\r I have been taking my dogs to this practice since before the Chastain's took over. They are very thorough and always answer all my questions. Dr. Melanie (my vet of choice) has been very caring and willing to discuss all options for any treatment of my 3 dogs. I also greatly appreciate the fact that they can usually get me an appointment the same day I call, if needed. more

Caring Vets - Great Owners!!! 1/7/2011

It has been a pleasure getting to know Dr. Clint and Dr. Sue, owners of Chastain Veterinary Medical. This is a family owned business and some of the more wonderful individuals I've met. I strongly encourage anyone looking for boarding, grooming and general veterinary care services to give them a call or visit in person. You and your pet(s) will be glad you did. more

Rip Off 4/28/2008

This clinic ran so many uneccessary tests just to run up the tab. The vets assisstant had just told me that one of the $100 tests wasn't needed because there's nothing that could be done for my cat if the test was possitive, but somehow the vet still talked me into it. I didn't know better, now I do. I feel like I was taken complete advantage of and I will never take my cats back to a place that would do that. I want to feel 100% at peace when I take my girls to the vet. more
