Bank One Ball Park out did Fenway Park by a long shot! Pros: GREAT SOUND, GREAT FOOD, GREAT BEER

Worst

When I moved out here one of the first places I wanted to go was the bob. We finally made it out to a game to pay 10 bucks a piece for upper level seats that were the worst seats...

Chase Ho Park 2/20/2006

Chase is a corporate ballpark - clean, safe and full of MLB authorized 'charm'. Havent seen this many concessions since the Kyoto Protocol. Well behaved fans awash in beer. Best time to watch baseball is cool April/May evenings w/ roof open. MLB's tastiest girlwatching on any Fri/Sat nite - only thing 'hotter' is brutal June-Sept day games - avoid! Plentiful nearby parking - best value are little known lots due east, between the RR tracks & Washington. Bleachers (or cheap uppers and moving down) are best values; never pay retail for lower decks; discounts abound on ebay, stubhub since the team folded in 2003. Assuming they havent ripped it out to make room for another Team Shop, Baxter's Den(beyond CF), is/was adorable for kids under 5. Buy an ice cream or sushi and slowly stroll around the concourse that circumvents the field to peoplewatch and appreciate the entire facility. Pros: Clean, comfortable, offsite parking, peoplewatching Cons: comatose team, typical MLB ripoff, very hot outside more

the BOB 5/14/2003

Everytime I visit Pheonix my uncle takes me to the BOB and we sit in his firm's season seats. The atmosphere there is like no other in the MLB. The people in AZ are so supportive of their D-Backs. It is a well engineered park made to fit thousands of screaming fans. The employees and concessions are second to none. Other MLB parks pale in comparison. Pros: fan base, Inexpensive, good parking Cons: hot more

THE BALLPARK 3/5/2003

I THINK THAT THE BALLPARK IS ABOUT THE ONLY WORTHWHILE SPORT OTHER THAN THE COYOTES ANS SUNS TO SEE. THE DIAMONDBACKS ARE THE BEST! Pros: Great Team, Good Seating, Climate is good Cons: some expenses, concessions overprice more

superb 11/22/2002

Bank One Ball Park out did Fenway Park by a long shot! Pros: GREAT SOUND, GREAT FOOD, GREAT BEER more

Take me out to the ballgame! 10/3/2002

The Bank One Ballpark (or, BOB) is really cool. Every seat is a good one, the food selections are fabulous, the sound, lighting and seats are good. Wish baseball was year-round!!! Very proud to show it off to visitors!! Pros: Food!!!, Comfortable Cons: Parking is expensive, Seats for skinnies more

Amazing Ball Park 9/2/2002

At first, you think it is a cold, modern baseball-shopping mall. I did. Then, after a few visits, you realize you are in one of the finest pro baseball facilities in existence. more

A place for everybody to have fun 8/8/2002

Love it! The atmosphere, the fans and when the top opens on BOB and you see the stars in the sky it gives me goosebumps! Pros: Theme nights Cons: Food expensive more

fun, fun 8/8/2002

a great get away by yourself, with your spouse, friend, and/or children...fits any occasion Pros: inexpensive Cons: give away guidelines, team shop layout more

A.C. 8/5/2002

I love the retractable roof, pool, and the fact that it can be 115 degrees outside and it feels good inside with AC. Pros: Inexpensive, Retractable roof, A.C and Pool more

overrated 8/3/2002

When I moved out here one of the first places I wanted to go was the bob. We finally made it out to a game to pay 10 bucks a piece for upper level seats that were the worst seats I've ever had in my life. By the time we got up to the second level concourse and climbed another twenty or so rows up, we were fairly exhausted and sweated only to realize that all the hot air in the facility goes up. After four innings of ball my legs and knees were in so much pain we decided it was more comfortable to just walk around. See a game if you want to spring for lower level or diamond level tics or want to go on the four year waiting list for the pool. Otherwise your better off watching it on fox sports net. Pros: Food, Enthusiastic crowds, Sight lines Cons: Comfort, prices, parking more

Fun 8/1/2002

You need to go to a ball game to see this stadium. Where else can you go to a game and maybe go for a swim too. This was a great idea to have a pool inside the stadium. It gets talked about and made fun of by news media, but I think it is a fun idea. There really isn't a bad seat in the place either. The nose bleed seats offer a great view of the whole field. Pros: inexpensive fun more

Bob Heaven 7/26/2002

Who wouldn't want to go to a ballpark that has a retractable roof that opens in five minutes, a swimming pool you can swim in while watching the world champs, and as if that weren't enoughthey have an arcade! Aside from all of the luxuries, when you're there you get to watch a great game played by the Arizona Diamondbacks! Pros: very exciting, nice atmosphere, nice treats Cons: expensive more

It's outstanding in it's field! 6/1/2002

While the Diamondbacks are outstanding in their field, this ballpark is the best I have ever seen. Every need you may have is served including waiters and waitresses that roam the stands to put in your order electronically and then return with some of the best food I have ever eaten at a ballpark. Pros: Great views, Great Food, Great Team Cons: Food is little pricey, Drinks are very $$ more

Standing Room Only 5/27/2002

This is a fun place to see a game. I would recommnd buying picnic table seats or Standing Room Only seats. They are cheap (as low as $5) are on the lower level and let you roam around the stadium. You have to love a stadium where they bring the beers and margaritas to you and where you can enjoy Ben and Jerrys with your hotdog. The opening of the roof is highly entertaining and comes complete with it's own theme music! more

Diamond in the Rough 5/21/2002

The BOB is a nice park that didnt quite go full throwback a la Camden and others. They did a nice job with the plaza leading up to the stadium. As expected the park has a completely different vibe with the roof open vs. closed. Quite a few local restaurants and bars nearby for celebrating after a win. Also, ample parking is available in nearby lots and streets. more
