PARENTS BEWARE 3/21/2010

I have had my 9yr old in this school since sept.09 she has up to now done great so then my son got called in feb for an opening in the 7th grade I made him go since they did so good with my daughter. Well the principal is a joke. he is all talk. He will tell you he runs a tight ship the only thing tight he runs is his clothes. My son was assaulted twice there infront of teachers who did nothing. Kids bring knives to school all the time. My 9yr yr old was verb. sexually assaulted by a 14yr old boy. I am fortunate enough to live in a neighborhood where I can send my kids to great schools so there's no reason for them to put up with the violence. Parents please listen to me if your child/ren don't come from a rough home your child won't survive. the kids are so terrible just as the teachers. The teachers turn their heads because they are scared of the kids. The students come from all kinds of walk of life and 90% of it isn't good. This school is over rated in every way. I am in the proces more

Wonderful School 11/15/2007

I have 3 children in CSAT ages 12, 10, and 7. They are all thriving. This school has shown above average scores on NYS tests and continues to improve each year. The school does have a dress code and expects every student to do their best and not be a distraction to other students. CSAT offers intra-mural and league sports. CSAT has middle school and high school bands, marching bands and music classes for all grades. My experience with the teachers has been shown most of them to be dedicated and enthused about teaching along with donating their time to after school activities. Overall a very good choice for my kids. more

this school is a joke unfair to staff 5/15/2007

as a former employe I would have to say this school is a joke the way they treat their staff is unfair you get mistreated for all the worked you do for little pay also I see they way they treat your kids calling kindergarden kids bratts yelling at older kids to shut their mounths having teachers yell in your childs face if your kid may be a little hard to control they have a room for them called the box were your kid can sit all day sometimes just for getting up out of their seat they can just not like a student and send them up there i seen it happen you think they would want to deal with it your wrong the card flip what a joke tell your kid he better walk in a stright line all the time dont smile or make a sound they dont want to hear it ,its a big joke more

Excellent 10/17/2005

My child is in kindergarden this year, and CSAT has been great for him. He is learning so much in just the few monthes that school has been in session. He talks to me everyday about what he learned, and has never once said he did not like it. I do attend the meeting regularly and feel that all concerns that are brought up are taken care of in a timely manner and reported back to the parents. I do think that the main goal of CSAT is the education of the students. Great Job!!!! more

Poor quality school 8/23/2005

This school is of poor quality. They care more about the dress code than they do the learning. Heaven forbid they have a child with ADHD. They want only "perfect" children in their class. The principal is more interested in teaching the children spanish than he is in speaking english. I would highly do your research before sending your child to this school. They talk the talk but forget the walk. They have at least 30 computers but none are used much. This school looks good but it's run poorly. BEWARE. PROS: School itself has potential. CONS: Poor administration and staff. More concerned about aesthetic than learning more
