I have been a customer of Charter Cable for several years. I subscribe for basic cable and high speed Internet. During the years I have been a customer, I have seen a decline in the level of their service and customer service, but Charter has a monopoly in this area so I cannot change providers. For the last couple of months, I have experienced over 20 days of no Internet access. When I called to complain, I pushed the button for customer service and repairs and I was on hold for 1 1/2 hours waiting for a customer service representative. After I hung up, I called back and pressed the button for ordering new services and I was immediately connected to a customer representative. Obviously to this company, expanding their business is more important than maintaining their service and making their current customers happy.
