Let me begin by saying that there has not been a review for this service in upwards of 3 years. While it may have been a 5-star caliber cleaning business in and prior to 2009, I assure you that it does not even merit the 1-star rating minimum that I can select on this website today.
The previous reviews describe these cleaners as ""flexible"" and ""reliable."" My experience has left me feeling like these two adjectives belong nowhere near the same sentence as Charmed Cleaning Service. About 3 weeks ago, I attempted to schedule a cleaning for my house and being as I work 7 days a week, had to schedule the cleaning for a Friday afternoon. After fighting me on this point for a while, the owner of Charmed finally consented to send people over 2 weeks after the date I originally proposed. She sounded skeptical, but assured me even though her people would take a while to finish the job, they would get it done.
Fast forward to last Friday, the date she promised me my house would be cleaned. I get off of work early in order to accomodate HER schedule, and at 1:45 begin to anticipate their 2:00 arrival. At 2:30, I call the number above and am forced to leave a voicemail. At 4:00, I call again and she picks up. She claims to have not received my voicemail and with increasing attitude tells me that the two women she dispatched should currently be cleaning my house. After assuring her that there are no invisible women scrubbing the floors, she angrily hangs up and says she will call her people.
I then am forced to call her back a half hour later in search of a status update and she tells me her people showed up at 2:00, called me, and rang the doorbell to no avail (it is worth noting that she did have my correct address and cell phone number). She now is completely giving me attitude and I am forced to direct her to tell her two employees to come back over from their respective homes. I also ask for their numbers myself as feel like a rock could run her business better than she.
All of my calls to her employees go straight to a bizaar type of voicemail that I have never heard and I call her back (at this point I am justly frustrated). She says that all of her calls to them but one have gone to voicemail and that they are in traffic on 76 but are on their way. After trading about 5 more calls with the owner of Charmed (all initiated by me), 7 oclock rolls around and still there is no sign of any cleaning service by my house. At this point I am fully convinced that she has led me along this entire time under false pretenses and am starting to think that some kid has invented this cleaning service as a prank call hotline.
I called her back yesteday in the morning, as I had set everything up with her before and felt like lightning couldn't strike twice and ruin another experience with this same service. One would think that after what she put me through before she would be dying to save face for her business and revamp a damaged relationship with a customer. However, after leaving her a message with no response, I call her again this morning. She finally picks up and again does not seem to be at all flexible when rescheduling my appointment. I tell her that I need her to show a little effort to mend our relationship; a statement that results in her angrily hanging up on me and putting my subsequent calls straight to voicemail.
Bottom line here is that if you would enjoy a painful experience like the one I have described above, don't hesistate to call Charmed Cleaning Service!
