First of all this is not a steak house, there are only 3 steak entrees on the menu, the rest of the menu is comprised of chicken fried steaks, enchiladas, hamburgers.\r
We ordered two Ribeye Steak entrees for $18.00 each, the most expensive single entree on the menu. When the soup and salad arrived my husband and I quietly joked that the soup looked like a Campbell's chicken and rice soup and the salad consisted of lettuce chunks & a few tomatos. When the Ribeye arrived we each took our first bite and immediately could tell that the steak was not right. It tasted like iron, was bitter, definitely did not taste fresh. I am 8 months pregnant and knew that this steak would make me sick. Honestly, the meat was spoiled, it was very very obvious. \r
We asked a waitress, not our waitress, to come to our table and we explained the situation to her, the meat was bad. She was nice and took the steak away from the table and handed us a menu asking if we would like to order anything else. Our waitress came by and asked what was wrong and we told her the steak was bad. She just looked at us and said ""we keep it refrigerated"". I replied, ""But for how long??"", she asked me what I meant. So although pregnant and hungry, we decided to just leave and asked for a check out of politeness, never really expecting to get a check for a meal that we were unable to eat. \r
The waitress handed us a check for the soup and salad portion that comes with the entree, $3.25. I was in disbelief and shock that she would actually ask us to pay for the soup and salad after what we had been through and being jeapordized with bad meat. We walked to the bar to pay and we were met by a middle aged thin man who I think was the owner and who said he was the manager in charge. My husband was explaining the meat was bad and the man in charge was defending his meat and not at all accepting the possiblity that it could have been bad. Worst restaurant experience ever!
