Trustworthy and more 11/12/2009

Have been a highly satisfied customer for over 20 years. This family-owned company not only gets all my business, but that of my adult kids. I can trust what Charlie and his employees tell me which is rare for the automotive world. The service reps, Mark, Tom and Nicco are all upfront and honest. The mechanics are extremely competent. The cleanliness of the facility reflects managements philosophy of efficiency. You can't go wrong at Charlies! more

Update To Negative Post About Towing 5/23/2009

I posted here awhile back about a bad experience with Charlie's. However, Charlie's went out of their way to rectify the situation properly and redeemed the amount of money I spent with free repairs. The owner's son, Niko, personally made addressing my complaint a top priority and I truly appreciated Charlie's extra effort. I wish that I could remove the original post, but I posted as a guest. more

Make Sure to Call a Tow Truck to Pick Up Your Car at Charlie's. 5/2/2009

Unless you want to tow your car AWAY from the repair shop, STAY AWAY from Charlie's. I took my car in for an innocuous Check Engine Light check and wound up towing my car away from Charlie's to avoid extortion ($600 to supposedly fix a bearing) and up to $1400 or more for a compressor fix. Charlie's has RUINED MY LIFE! After Charlie's disabled my drive belt without my authorization, I have had THREE tows in a month, hundreds of dollars in unnecessary repairs and a failed alternator. Charlie's already charged me $90 for a Check Engine Light diagnostic that another repair place charged me nothing. Charlie's overcharged me about $500 in labor costs for earlier work, according to the proper amount for my zip code on Repair Pal.com. My CAR HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO DRIVE FOR A MONTH SINCE CHARLIES!!!! Charlie's represents the WORST nature of scuzzy, venal, manipulative auto saboteurs, er "repair shops". Now, the owner's son ,Niko, is harassing me about complaining openly on these accountability sites. Talk about an audacious consumer scam artist!!! more

Real Professionals 9/2/2008

Very knowledgeable and gave it to me in layman's language. Done on time and within the estimate AND fixed a few small things without being asked AND at no extra charge AND car was washed and vacuumed...again at no charge. Family operation....very friendly. They've been do'in it for 30 years so it's no wonder they come across as real pros. more

Rude Staff 8/11/2005

I was referred to this Auto Repair store by the staff at the local NAPA Auto Parts and was extremely disappointed by the first encounter I had with a staff member. He treated me like I was a crazy person who simply did not know what I was talking about. Eventually I got to speak to someone else who was very helpful. Not a great first impression. more
