Charlie Allen's Towing

Via several web criticisms from other folks, I was unfortunate to experience the same bad experience. For less than 24 hours, this company charged me over $400 for towing & storage. Then, they had the nerve to give me an estimate of over $5,000 to repair my car but, if I agreed to their repair work, would waive the over $400 towing/storage charge. Talk about blackmail & arrogance in thinking that would work with an adult who then went & got 3 other quotes - all of them $1,800-$2,200 LESS! Woe to anyone that has their car towed to Charlie Allen's and if you do, get it out as fast as possible or face the same scenario I did or get fleeced with their collision estimate. The shame is that the NJ State Troopers have a contract with such an outfit - they should be more client aware of costs and not allow this type of thievery! Finally, CitySearch needs to update their address & phone number for this company - what is listed is inaccurate because they are now located in Robbinsville. more

I had heard about the 2 day charge for the less than 24 hour stay in the impound lot when the Robbinsville Police have your car towed there...but I'm here to tell you that the quality of work sucks and the prices they're getting suck even worse....lots of hidden/SCAM fees you don't hear about until you get there to pick up your vehicle....but don't take my advice, take a chance and bring your car there...just be sure to bring lots and lots of cash!!!! more
