I loved Justin, the sales rep, HATED Justin in the finance dept. He is a snake, and a week after we purchased the car told us the bank won't accept the deal and if we want to keep the car we have to put down $2,000 cash. Really? Because we've alreayd signed the papers and have had the car for a week! Creep. more

I ordered a car through from out of State through their internet department, at a set price that was quoted to me in email, and then waited three months for it to arrive. However, they kept ducking writing up the purchase agreement. Finally, when the car is on the truck from the port, they send me a purchase agreement with an extra $200 fee for "vehicle theft registration." Vehicle theft registration is almost pure profit - it's padding. I told them that it wasn't part of the agreement and I wasn't paying it. They said it was mandatory and if I didn't pay it they would sell my ordered car to another customer. \r \r I figured if they were screwing me for $200 over the phone, what would they try to screw me for if I were sitting in their dealership 400 miles from home with no ride and no airline return ticket. So I told them they could keep the car.\r \r Don't trust these people. Get everything in writing beforehand and even then don't trust them. No stars. more

Once Chapman sells you the car all customer service abruptly ends. I have been accused of causing everything that goes wrong with my VW by the unprofessional staff at Chapman's service department. Chapman VW is the only car dealership in the Valley of the Sun that will give your brand new car back dirtier than it was when you dropped it off for service. It is an ordeal to get my VW serviced for the most obvious manufacturer?s defects and I would never recommend Chapman to anyone except someone I really disliked. Taking your VW that is still under warranty to Chapman for service is a far worse experience than anyone should have to endure in a lifetime.. more

I did like these guys better then all the others I shopped at, that is why I bought here, but considering that I was paying cash the transaction took way, way too long. 3 hours+. I didn't even take it out for a test drive. I already knew what I wanted and they quoted me the best price. SO why it took soo long, I have no idea. PROS: Best priced CONS: Way too slow more

I was treated with respect and trust when I showed up at Chapman VW. Many other dealers were reluctant to help me because I look young. The salespeople were very helpful in working out a deal that would suit me and finding the right model. They also let me take the car for a spin on my own, and even encouraged me to take it while we ate dinner and made our decision. The only negative was the finance department, who were a bit standoffish. more
