WOULD GIVE IT 7 STARS IF I COULD 12/9/2008

Most amazing place ever. I went here on my honeymoon, unsure of what to expect. The inn was beautiful! All of the rooms were tastefully decorated, spacious, and peaceful. The jacuzzis were wonderful, and the fireplaces in the rooms, along with lots of big, comfy furniture, created a cozy and romantic atmosphere. The breakfasts were very good- muffins, some sort of fruit dish or compote, fresh juice, and coffee every morning. A giant plate of warm chocolate chip cookies and bowl of fruit free for the taking in the lobby. The grounds were manicured, but very natural-feeling. Seemed like being lost in a spring meadow- a beautiful walking trail full of flowers and butterflies. Also, bikes were available for use along the pretty country lane. The inn was conveniently placed. I LOVED it. Can't wait to go back!! Just make sure you don't plan eating after 9 in door county... you might be out of luck! We ended up at Applebee's on our first night :) Pros: ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS, wonderful perks, wireless internet, simply lovely Cons: none! more

I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Door County 3/19/2006

We stayed in a cabin at the Chanticleer and could not have been happier. Everything was perfect. The owners are awesome. We just stayed there this past weekend and already booked our next visit. Pros: Perfect! more
