The restaurant has the best wait staff ever, they always remember you! And treat you amazing! The food is outstanding,! The bloody mary's and hummers are worth going in to try. Never had a bad meal there!!! Fun atmosphere and great food... What more could you ask for!! more

Prententious, overpriced & tiny portions to boot STAY AWAY 7/15/2009

Chandlers will sell you a $50 steak but doesnt have a steak knife for you. They will sell you a $7 ""garden salad"" that is nothing but a tiny handful os mesclun and a few drops of vinagrette. They also try to do Sushi but this in Northern Michgan so beware. Chandlers doesn't know who they are. What they do know is how to be rude, offer you tiny portions for your money and treat you like you were in a haughty city tre-chic dining room and shouldn't be. The waitstaff know nothing and management will only make excuses. People if you want a finbd dining expereince in N. Michigan please dont waste your time and money here. You have other options. Pros: The food quality is fine Cons: Everything else more

Exceptional 5/6/2005

Chandler's is a restaurant that boasts an exceptional wine list. The wait staff was attentive and helpful, especially when recommending wine to complement your meal. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody who is willing to spend $100 for an evening meal. But trust me, it's worth it! Pros: Wine, Atmosphere, Service more

Good food, quaint location 3/7/2005

I've been to Chandler's a few times and have always had great food and wine. It's in a great location and when you sit out on the patio you feel as if you could be at a California bistro. Dinners are good, lunch is good and they always have delicious specials. The Gilly sandwich is my favorite! The only downside I see is that with the extensive wine list - they pull their wines from the shelf in the store they own next door so the white wines are not chilled and you have to wait 10-15 minutes. This restaurant rivals big city bistros across the US. I would say the menu itself is americain with strong french and californian influences. It is a must see if you are traveling to northern MI, and I would have to say it has the largest wine list I have seen in the state. Pros: wine list more

Good! Good! Good! Great Northern Michigan tones and wonderful fish selections daily. HUGE wine list as well....Did I say HUGE? Pros: WINE LIST!!!! more
