This Vet obviously needs to go back to school!!!! Horrible vet clinic do not recommend this to anyone. Our dog had a fractured leg and after 3 weeks it is now healing wrong and we need to do surgery..I wouldnt trust this women with any animal!!!!! We were also told to bring our dog in for board for a week to keep her confined to her kennel..after bringing her home she is now peeing in the kennel and eating and drinking in there I wish I would have read up on this place before taking my dog there! more

Every animal deserves a vet like Doc Smith 1/27/2011

I am a vet tech and have worked at several vet clinics. I had the privilege of assisting Doc Smith with his appointments and even in his surgeries. I got to work in every aspect of the clinic. He is an old fashioned man, with old fashioned ways. He is a true cowboy in every sense of the word. He will help any animal that comes into his clinic, whether he knows they can pay or not. He will even work on stray animals that people bring in! I am going to vet school and hope that I can be half as good of a vet a this man is. more

Terrible, horrible, awful place 9/16/2009

Please, please, please do not board your animals or have them vetted at this horrible place.\r \r Dogs are rarely checked against disease or infection before boarding. They are left in a 100+ kennel area with no heat, dim light, and NO HUMAN COMPANIONS. The dogs are not walked, they are not let outside, the attendants are not allowed to play with each dog. \r \r Young dogs become aggressive or excessively timid after staying here. They also experience potty training setbacks due to NEVER being let outside, forced to eliminate where they sleep. \r \r Senior dogs become depressed and withdrawn, and depending on your relationship, may never fully trust you again. This place is THAT traumatic for dogs.\r \r The feline boarding facilities are considerably more humane, but I strongly discourage people from boarding their cats there. The vet who owns this horrible place just wants your money; don't give him the means to torture more dogs. Cons: Abusive, neglectful, dirty, downright scary more

I used to work there... horrible... 2/11/2009

If I can sway one person's decision to board here, I'll be happy. I worked here for a short time over the holidays a few years ago. They have 100+ kennels for boarding dogs, and they keep all the dogs in a separate, unheated area. It was utter chaos. It was so loud from all the barking that many of us wore ear plugs just going in there. The dogs weren't let outside (there were over 100!), and were lucky if they were fed and watered twice daily. One dog knocked the floor out of the kennel above him--imagine what would have happened had there been a dog on the upper part. If your dog needs daily meds, or any special treatment of any kind, forget it. It won't happen. The vet that owns the place is interested in one thing, and one thing only: making money.\r \r I went home in tears several times before finally finding a different vet clinic to work at. Please, please DO NOT board your dog here, especially if he/she is a senior (they seem to be more traumatized by this than the younger ones). I know the kennels become filled over the holidays, but please make every effort to find other arrangements. Cats are fine, however... they actually had a very nice area for boarding cats. Cons: Sub-par veterinary services, horrible boarding more
