I had been to Asian Medical Clinic at the Mowry and Warmspring location. I didn't like the staff, they all speak chinese, there were no good english speaker. The great doctors are Dr Gao and Dr Norman Cheung, they both are great doctors and the rest of the doctors in the clinic or useless. more

new patient here 10/28/2011

So I've recently started a new job in Fremont, and I needed to have a physical exam because of my occupation and I'd heard about Asian Medical Clinic from a friend. She said that it was non-profit, but pretty nice inside and high quality at the Warm Springs location that she'd been to. I decided to check it out because I've been looking for a health care provider since I started receiving my new insurance. Coming in for my physical was pretty straightforward, and I had a really good impression of the staff and also of my doctor, Dr. Cheung. Lucky for me, I don't have any serious health problems, so I haven't needed to have any intense or regular treatments at the clinic, but I'm sure if I did, they would be very qualified to take care of me. I also have to say, one of my favorite things about the clinic is that the environment is so zen and clean, they're always playing super relaxing music in the waiting room. This might not matter as much to other people, but that's something that's always a big factor for me. more

Friendly service, Nice interiors, Great doctors 5/24/2011

i liked that the environment was professional and contemporary, and yet the service was friendly and comfortable. They seemed pretty down to earth and just all around friendly. The doctor was really calm, friendly, and personable. Really helped my grandmother feel at home too... my grandmother is an immigrant from China and doesn't speak much English. The doctors and staff spoke fluent mandarin, and really helped communicate my grandmother's health condition to her better than I really can. It's surprising to see fluent Mandarin speaking doctors who have also gotten their education or training here in the U.S. for medicine. Location is convenient and we didn't have to wait long. Nice interiors. more

Best Doctors 8/10/2010

Dr. Evelyn Li M. D. is one of the best Cardiology and Internal Medicine doctors in San Francisco bay area. I heard so many friends told me that Dr. Evelyn Li solved their medical problems, and cured their illness for her great professional medical skills and strong religion belief. She speaks both Cantonese and Mandarin, and also knows Chinese culture as well. \r \r Doctor Kris Huang, M. D. is a Pediatrician and General Practice loves children as her own and her professional medical skills attract so many new and returned patients from Bay area. \r \r Dr. Abraham Law, M. D. is a very experienced General Practice and Surgery doctor I ever seen. He trades patients like his own family members and he is a very well know doctor in this area. more

Dr. Biqi Gao saved my son's life!! 8/4/2010

I usually take my son to Palo Alto (Pamf) to see the pediatrician, but they tend to make me see two or three other doctors (including a trip to urgent care which took up over half of my day) and finally giving me results as to what I should do or what meds I should give my son. With Dr. Gao, she diagnosed everything from asthma, wheezing, to pneumonia the first visit and she prescribed everything he needed right away! Everything was taken care of and my son didn't have to suffer for 3 days to wait for a solution! Dr. Gao saved my son - he was having difficulty breathing and she knew exactly what he needed. more

New Look, New Management, New Doctors! 8/4/2010

Asian Medical Clinic just opened a new location on Warm Springs Blvd. smack between hwy 880 and 680. They've hired on new management, new staff (and have kept some of the great old-timers), and have added some new bilingual and trilingual doctors to the team. Dr. Biqi Gao, family practice, is very sweet and very talented. She did her residency at UCSF and is patient, understanding, and has a very caring attitude towards her patients. Dr. Evelyn Li, cardiologist, has made headlines in the news in the past couple of years after the patient advocating movie she participated in, ""Life for Sale"" was released, which has helped bring Congress' attention to the corruption in healthcare and how to resolve issues to improve patient care in hospitals. Dr. Chao Sun, family practice, is a down right funny guy who has got a good sense of humor and who is sweet and kind to patients. Dr. Kris Huang, pediatrician, did her internship at Stanford University, and enjoys caring for kids and adults alike. Dr. Norman Cheung, chairman of surgery at St. Rose hospital, orthopedic surgeon, still amazing - all of our friends and family keep telling us how proud they are to have seen Dr Cheung. Dr. Abraham Law, renowned physician in San Francisco, general surgeon and family practice, enjoys caring for patients as much as they enjoy seeing him. Asian Medical Clinic has been working to improve all aspects of patient care for the community and the nation. Check out their website! more

Nightmare 7/21/2009

I just want to write down my nightmare so people won't go to them by mistake. I went to the hospital for a poiison-oak infection from a camping. After 2 hours waiting (I came exactly at the appointment time), The doctor (Chung, an old man) spent 5 minutes with me, first blamed me for not coming to them in time, then gave me completely useless medicine. (My friend got the same infection and cured in a month, it took me 2.5 months). I was too busy to argue with them or another doctor, after I found it useless a month later. Nightmare didn't end that easy... At the counter I told them I changed insurance and they told me my new insurance doesn't cover. So I paid $182 from my credit card. (that's for the 5 minutes doctor visit I guess). Now, after 3 months, I received another bill from my old insurance, charging me another $245. That's $427 for 5 minutes of wrong medicine! I called they point me to their billing department and nobody there answer at all. This is very wrong. For your money and your health, do not try it. more

Doctors are fine; but clinic ran like a 3rd-world country clinic 4/7/2008

The doctors are really fine. But the clinic is run like it is in a 3rd world country.\r The medical assistant was overworked, too busy, handling more than two patients at a time. being called from room to room by patients waiting (I guess you can't blame them if their patients are low-income types, can't afford more than 1 assistant.) Receptionist was passive. The clinic has a lot of ""things"" just tucked away in corners and stuffed all over the place just to be out of the way, I guess because the clinic space is not very big. They need to expand a little, clean up a little (does not mean clinic not sanitary, just disorganized and unsightly because of clutters). I just worried that because of the disorganization, specimens and records might be misplaced, etc. Otherwise though, medical staff seem to be highly competent. Pros: competent medical staff Cons: small, cluttered, disorganized, overworked staff more

Asian Medical Clinic of Fremont 3/16/2007

People at the office are friendly, hardworking, and enjoyable..... They are caring, the receptionist is sweet and caring, and the rest of the office workers are so nice. Pros: Receptionist is a great worker Cons: Others in the office need to help out more

Asian Medical Clinic of Fremont - Receptionist a gem!!!!!! 3/16/2007

She is very helpful, bright, and speaks 3 languages... She get's things done without complaint. She is a gem.... She does everything in the office its a wonder why she's got such a bad attitude. I know, I've been there now for 2 months as a patient. She's very caring about her patients.\r She answer phones of about 1000 per day, she get all the medical records done when asked (doesn't need to be asked twice like her manager). The manager is the one with the attitude. The receptionist has to deal with 8 different doctors in this daily job..... \r I'm very happy as a client there. If it wasn't for her, I'd be in the grave..... let me tell you this, she doesn't take things lying down as far as the other members in the office..but she is there to help, when asked with respect. So, let's all forgive her...... Pros: Receptionist getting everybody in, all at one time Cons: Patients need to treat the receptionist with a little respect and stop screaming at her when they are mad about their own issues. more

Terrible receptionist! 7/31/2006

Terrible receptionist! Indifferent and apathetic. Though I can't say for sure whether or not the doctors at this place are the same, I would definitely not want to come here when the receptionist gives you an attitude. And all this drama just from trying to book an appointment! Very disappointing! more
