Great Classsic Burger 6/17/2009

Today I reached out for the Chili Cheeseburger @ Champ-Burger, and it lived up to the hype!\r Fresh bun, oozing chili and cheese and a tasty patty made fof a trip to taste heaven !\r This little place sits tucked in the 2nd ward and has that great neighborhood feel that so many other places have lost along the way.\r You can order your food to go, or enjoy it on the patio there, but lunch time gets pretty busy so if you need a Champ-Burger fix, you had better call it in ahead!\r 3 of us enjoyed a great lunch for under $20 total, you will have a hard time doing that in Houston anymore! Mouth-watering awsome burger!!! 8/28/2002

This burger is the absolute best that I have found in Houston!!! It is 100% beef and this baby just hits home. It absolutely melts in your mouth and what a hole-in-the-wall. This place is small and just packed at lunchtime, but who cares its worth the wait! You must partake in a Champ Burger because it is truely a knock-out!!! more

Best Burger I've ever had. 8/8/2002

Located about a mile and a half from Minute Maid Park going towards the Maxwell House factory. I truly believe this place will soon have to expand it's facilities because their burgers are truly excellent. This place stays packed with city & county workers (including our own HPD) around lunch time. If possible try to go after 1:00 p.m. Pros: Inexpensive, Large Portions, Great Taste Cons: Crowded @ Lunch, Closes @ 5:00 pm, Parking is difficult more
