Champagne Taste

Not really consignment. These days, Kirkland consignment stores advertise as consignment but most often they are selling brand new, never worn clothes and apparel that stores sell to them. If it's never been worn, is an item advertised in a high-end fashion magazine, then maybe they'll take it. Never mind high-end custom made clothes, it's not labeled properly for their high-end snooty customers. Go elsewhere for a better value and friendlier shop. more

We arrived just as the shop opened on a Saturday. We were immediately greeted and asked what our mission was. I am the mother of the bride and looking for just the right dress on a small budget. The back half of the shop is devoted exclusively to wedding dresses and formal wear and nicely laid out. The saleswoman listened to my ideas and asked thoughtful questions, then started flipping through dresses to see what matched. She came up with a dress I would never have thought of trying on, and two others just in case. The dress turned out to be absolutely perfect for me. She brought earrings that were just right and showed me how to style my hair in a way that would compliment the look. I was offered shoe and clutch options as well. Honestly, I felt like a bride and would not have expected such attentive, respectful and kind service in a consignment shop. The saleswoman even held the dress as it would be after a slight alteration so we could take pictures. And, she offered the services of their in house seamstress should I need them. I highly recommend this shop for special occasion dresses and wedding dresses, as they have a wonderful selection and the service is on the same level as Nordstroms. The best part? My dress cost $98.00, the earrings $30.00, and the relief to have this part out of the wedding process complete: Priceless. more

The shop came recommended as having a large selection of good quality formal wear. I walked in early Saturday morning, was immediately greeted and taken back to the special occasion dresses, as I am a mother of the bride. After listening to my likes and dislikes, the woman thought a moment and pulled a dress, telling me I had to try it on. She obviously knew her stuff, because I was transformed into exactly the image I had in mind. The dress is elegant, timeless and with minor alterations, a perfect fit. Next thing I know, she presents me with the perfect earrings and shows me how to style my hair for the best effect. She suggested a complimenting clutch and offered shoes to match. The store seamstress was there as well if I had desired her services. It was my first and only stop for the dress I needlessly worried would be difficult to find, and at $98.00, it was a true gem. She even tolerated holding the back of the dress so we could take pictures to show my daughter. I felt like a bride and have never had such thoughtful service, much less in a consignment shop. The shop has wedding dresses galore, prom and other special occasion dresses that I will send my daughters there to explore. I cannot recommend their shop and the service they provide highly enough. more

Everytime I have been in this store the people who work there are rude and unhelpful. They act as if you are in their way by going in the shop. I would never go to this store again. more

Is their taste too expensive to give good service? My fiance and I were casually walking around town after luch when I ran into Champagne Taste and wow did they leave a bad taste in my mouth. I was looking for a bridal outfit, a 1950's throwback, or something along those lines for an up coming photo shoot. I found a few things that were a bit pricey, but worth trying on. However, with nobody in the store other than myself, my fiance and the lady at front, it could not have been made more clear are presence was not welcome. I'm talking Pretty Woman here. I have never been made so uncomfortable as a potential customer. I thought this was a consignment shop in Kirkland, Wa...not Rodeo Drive. I would reccommend taking your time and money somewhere else, they obviously don't want it and most certainly don't deserve it. more

Champagne Taste is a consignment shop in Kirkland. It has a HUGE selection of great designer items. The store is PACKED full, so you must be patient and willing to paw through racks and boxes and shelves to find what you're looking for. But, they have everything from Coach bags, D&G sunglasses, designer jeans, shoes, formal dresses and even wedding dresses. Come when you have time to spend looking at all the stuff. You may find a real gem! more
