Kate is a professionaI- she can locate and work out troubled muscles and joints you didn't know you had. I would consider her a master of the craft. The few massage places I've been to have been extremely expensive and I always leave feeling like I got taken, until I found Balance. It's a wonderful quaint place with traditional Thai decor. The people there are very friendly, they go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. The massage is absolutely heavenly. It's very therapeutic for me, especially after a long stressful week with the kids and work. They have a couples room that my husband and I enjoy together. What not to love?.....Traveling east, 6:30 Friday evening on Santa Monica Blvd., absolute xxxxxx gridlock, going absolutely nowhere. What ever happened to oz? Eureka moment. Spotted sign for Balance Thai Massage.............. Found street parking spot, clicked my heels 2x, and then-- lying face down on luxurious cotton futon, warm comforting hands slowly untying the knots of tension deeply embedded into my back. Wow............. Kate, the Thai masseuse and co-owner, delicately removed each knot one by one and then pushed and pulled all of my limbs until I was loose as a goose. Going nowhere, sunny side-up, 20 minutes more of gentle noodling of my scalp, face, jaw and throat. Pure bliss. A land of oz....Balance Thai Massage, the perfect antidote to evening gridlock on SM Blvd.. Highly recommended. I got lucky I didn't need a reservation, too.
