Oh Kim, Honey. Bless your heart. You've only been at Chambrel for about 4 months. Having worked there for a few years, I can agree completely with Synergy162. I will admit that I loved my first year working at Chambrel. I enjoyed the residents, the people, the coworkers AND the directors, but I realized soon enough that this community was not getting what it deserved. As sweet as Jan and Taylor might seem, they are both very useless when it comes to resident's or employee's concerns. Taylor will never get back to residents or employees regardless of the numerous emails, voicemails and phonecalls you might make and Jan doesn't seem to care enough about her employees to respond to any of their concerns. As an employee at Chambrel (currently) I can tell you that the entertainment was always top notch when Sylvia and Melinda were Activities Directors, but since Diana showed up, none of the residents or employees have been happy with the environment she has created. She is highly inappropriate during events and is not professional. I'm surprised no one talked about Janet here. She is a whole another problem to deal with at Chambrel. Overall, this was a beautiful community, but the management is unqualified and worthless. more

I am not sure where synergy162 got his or her information. I work at Chambrel of Roswell. It is one of the most beautiful community's I have ever experienced. What first attracted me the most was how happy a place it is. I walked in for my interview and everyone, residents and staff, were laughing and smiling and welcoming. Unlike other places I've been, it is continuous. As for Jan and Taylor, you could not ask for more loving people to be in charge of a place so full of care for our family here. Once a hidden gem in Roswell, management should be thrown out for allowing the downfall of this once beautiful community. Jan Lotz and Taylor Evans are the worst ""Directors"" to have run Chambrel. I believe Travis1234 is an employee. That is the same story I was sold when my father toured Chambrel. And Jill will asist you durring the ""move in"" process, but when RATS & Squirrels are running in your apartment, Jill offers NO assistance. Yes, Rodents and Roaches. There is a major cockroach and rodent infestation. The main elevator hasn't functioned in months. The laundry press hasn't functioned in months and linens are not pressed ( a service in which Chambrel sells) And most recently 2 washing machines and a dryer is broken. My Father's laundry is now wrinkled and late being picked up and delivered. Aside from the lack of housekeeping staff, broken down builiding, bursting pipes, squirrels, rats, and bugs in the hallways; I am appalled by the behavior of the so called managers of Chambrel Roswell. Had these people attempted to repair these problems, exterminate the critters, or treat the senior citizens with some dignity, my father would still be at Chambrel. I agree with the other review 100%- leave a message or try to reach Taylor Evans. Good Luckl. And Jan can not answer any questions if you do reach her on the phone. The recreational planner, Diana, is inappropriate & would have never been hired at Chambrel 5 years ago. Good Luck to those of you trying to find a safe community for your loved one. Bottom Line: It is not Chambrel. Not until Brookdale makes a ""housecleaning."" Unfortunately, My father and I decided moving out was his best option. more

When shopping for senior living I did not know where to begin. I was referred to Chambrel Roswell by a family friend whose mother lives there. I have to say from the first phone call I was totally impressed! The receptionist was friendly, and my questions were directed to the marketing department. The marketing director was so knowledgable and helped me pinpoint exactly what I needed to look for in a retirement community. I had no idea what I was looking for but I knew after speaking with Jill that I wasn't going to have to look far. Chambrel was the only facility that I considered for mom! more

beautiful, the staff is wonderful, but the management is horrible. My mother has lived at Chambrel for almost 3 years now. Management has changed numerous times, but unfortunately not for the best. There is constant turnover is staff and when there is a great employee, they suddenly disappear. The business office manager was promoted from a housekeeper position (with no management training or accounting education). He is a nice young man, but unable to handle a 300 unit community. The rent is consistently incorrect. There was never a problem with our bills until he became business manager. It is almost impossible to reach any of the directors. Their staff is wonderful and must do most of thier work because they are the only ones to return calls and solve problems. I have numerous problems contacting and getting any information from the engineering director. The activities lady never returns phone calls and was very rude when I tried to plan my mother's 90th birthday party- at my expense. Overall... the young men and women that work at Chambrel are very dear to the residents and work very hard to help them in any way. The building is very old and is popping up with leaks at almost every rain. However, the community has been renovated and looks beautiful. My mother calls Chambrel her home and has more friends than ever. She is very active and attends many of the events throughout the community. We thought about moving her due to the management and turnover, but my Mother is happy with her frineds and doing well at Chambrel. My advice is to be cautious of the management staff and follow-up with anything suspicious. Chambrel advertises ""senior living"" but the reality is that the residents are 80-90 years old. Pros: Beautiful Large Community for Active adults Cons: Engineering problems, Business Management Office and Bills more
