Once he mused and said something about experiencing the full range of humanity. It is with that depth and humane attitude that Chagi approaches nearly everything in his office, from people to literature to dreams. All of it, the full range of human experience, has a place, and he handles it all with the modesty and honesty and empathy that is rare. Truly a sad day when he retires, though perhaps we will get to read him at some point.
