Chadds Ford Animal Hospital

I have had the exact opposite experience as the previous poster. I moved to PA from Fl with my 14 year old lab/dane mix and I visited numerous clinics in the area before deciding on this one. I felt welcome and very comfortable with the staff at Chadds Ford Animal Hospital from the very beginning, and the clinic is very clean so I chose them for my pet. As my old guy started degrading, they talked me through the options and never pushed me one direction or the other. They dealt with me and the situation professionally and with compassion. I can never thank them enough for the way they handled themselves during that tough time. Almost a year passed later I brought home a rescue puppy and it was never a question as to what clinic he would be going to. I went there for over a year. At my last visit, my dog was a little apprehensive to get on the scale and instead of rewarding with treats, they said she needed a muzzle. My dog did not like the muzzle and I informed them that she did best with positive reinforcement. They did not listen to me and said that due to age she might becoming an aggressive dog, which she has never been or has acted that way since (even with a new baby arriving in the family). Instead of listening to me they asked that I leave the room while they did the exam. when I came back in my dog was shaking and they had completed the exam doing many unnecessary shots that I had not asked for or was asked about. my bill was outrageously expensive! I will never go back!! more

I live out of town but visit Chester County a few times a month. I love this vet because they are open on Saturday hours and have been very gracious at squeezing me and my dog into their schedule. more
