my house is very old and needed a lot of prep not to mention mildew removal, Karl and Paul along with the rest of the crew did a wonderful job, he communicated with me throughout the whole project, i was never left in the dark. The crew cleaned up after themselves each day and even respected my kids nap time and worked on a different part of the home as to not disturb them. Truly an amazing company, i will be doing more business with them in the future and will continue to recommend them to friends and neighbors! Owner Karl Van Zandt made initial contact and estimate and promised a lot of things and made his company sound very, very good. The crew that he sent, although good, did not know anything about what Karl had told me how the job was to be completed. They left out a lot of the minor things (but important to me) that Karl had said they were going to do. Seems like Karl and his crew were 2 separate entities that do not communicate too much with each other and Karl does not do much supervision. He did not even visit the job site to see if they were doing what he said they were supposed to do. I had to keep telling the painting crew what Karl had said they were supposed to do. Seemed like Karl never explained anything to them. Because I use painters a lot in my business, I cannot recommend them to anyone else. Their original estimate was a little pricey but he called back to find out what the lowest bid was that I had gotten and matched that. I give them an average or slightly below average because of the lack of communication between supposed supervisor/owner and painting crew. Pros: Friendly crew, hardworking, clean, matched low bid Cons: Owner lacks communication with crew. Job was not complete. more
