I was referred by a friend recently to Century Cleaners after I told her that I've been having problems with my cleaners. She gave a new customer coupon which was absolutely amazing! So I decided to give Century cleaners a try, and to my surprise the switch was indeed a great decision. Their dry cleaning service is phenomenal and with their promotions, the prices are more than just fair. I would have to say that this is def a well deserved 5 stars! I've been a customer at Century cleaners for the past 8 years or so.. and from my experience, I found the owner of the store to be very honest and friendly, and the quality of the clothes always exceptionally clean and crisply pressed. I also have all my alterations done there, and my husband and I always found the measurements and fit to be exactly the way we requested. I personally have never had any problems with the owners or service, and although other places may charge less, I found this cleaners to be one of the top cleaners in the area that offers great service and professional quality in all their services. I also usually recommend all my friends and family to Century Cleaners only because I trust that they would always receive high quality and professional service. No set price list for tailoring job, alterations and even pressing. Do not accept an open ticket, they will not call you and will overcharge you. \r Several times in the past the owner gave me an ?open ticket? for tailoring jobs saying that the tailor is the one who decides on the prices. It seemed strange to me that there was no set price list for tailoring jobs. The first time I was charged $10 for some alterations, the second time the price went up to $15, and finally I was charged $25 for a similar job. \r I bought a set of brand new curtains, for which I just had paid $20 a piece, to be lightly pressed as the instructions recommended. To my amazement, the owner did not know ? once again ? how much this service would cost. Therefore, we agreed on an ?open ticket? with the condition that she calls me to notify me of the price. A week went by and not having received a call, I went to the shop. I was told that the light pressing of two new curtains (just some folds left from the packaging) cost $46, which is due now. I was shocked and upset. When I told the owner that it is outrageous, she replied ?I know?. I asked for a price list where such price would be specified; she said that they did not have it (though curtain and drapes handling is advertised in their window ? a clear example of missadvertisement!). She said that she charged me for dry-cleaning the curtains. When I pointed out that there were not dry-cleaned, she said ?I know?. She also said that it was a tough job because these curtains are made of silk. I pointed out that they are 100% polyester, after which she said ?I know?. \r I finally had to pay for drycleaning silk curtains (a service I did not require and did not receive), and leave saying that I will never bring any business to this shop, to which the owner replied? ?I know?. This was either a demonstration of high arrogance, or a ?total Zen? attitude. In either case, such behavior is outrageous, unprofessional and unacceptable.
