We used Century Carpet of Ayer to install new hardwood floors in our kitchen, family room, and downstairs lavatory. Their first impression was good...they arrived on time, gave a quote in line with other bids, and offered some useful advice. That's where the good stuff ends.
When their installers came out, they ripped up more than our floor. They destroyed parts of our kitchen cabinets, made holes in our walls, and made a destroyed the baseboard moldings. This was all on the first day! They ran over time on the project, and blamed the weather. They took power chords and tools from my house. They left holes in the floor (yes, holes in new hardwood floor), and cut the register openings to such odd sizes that we had a bear of a time finding workable replacements. Of course, their installer promised to order us new replacements, and never did, but that was just one of so many committments they failed to live up to that it's not even worth mentioning here.
Bottom line, if you're looking for quality and craftsmanship, go elsewhere. If you need more headaches and want to pay somebody for a project that you will have to finish yourself, call Century Carpet.
