Central Providence Veterinary Hospital

We moved here several years ago. At the time I had one golden retriever who had separation anxiety. We've since gotten a second golden (who's afraid of thunderstorms!) Dr. Booker always takes the time to listen about even the smallest concern. He's not one to quickly prescribe medication, and I believe he tries to keep costs to a minimum. We've had several vets in the past who, if you brought up a concern, would start doing test after test. Dr. Booker is calm, logical and thoughtful. He listens, assesses the situation and then comes up with a game plan that keeps the dog and the owner in mind. His staff is considerate and loves animals. I would highly recommend him! I can't say enough good things about Dr. Booker and his staff. \r \r My puppy was rescued at 8 weeks and 3 days after we got him he got Parvo. Although we hadn't ever been there before, when I called and explained his symptoms they saw him right away. He was only 5 pounds so I worried he wouldn't make it.\r \r His sensitivity and compassion for animals is remarkable. He was honest and didn't give us false hopes. Our dog was a trooper and pulled it all and we are ever grateful to him and his staff during this stressful time. A big ""Thank You"" especially from Diesel! Dr. Booker and his staff are superior. I have been in the Charlotte are for approx 6 months when I began to see a decline in my Dog Bear's condition. I have had him for 11 years and found him as a stray so his real age was unknown. The decision to keep him with us or to give him peace was the most difficult I have encountered. Dr. Booker gave me the tools I needed to make a educated and proper decision. When I had Bear put down Dr. Booker and his staff were very caring. They gave my husband and I time alone with Bear and the day after I received a sympathy card that, even though I was heartbroken it seemed to help in the healing process. The card says that he at peace now and in a special place running and playing and not suffering anymore. When we pass on that he will be there waiting to rejoin us. I can't begin to tell you what that meant to me. So, to Dr. Booker and his exceptional staff I thank you from the bottom of my heart for being as kind as you were during this most difficult time for us. Your caring is greatly appreciated. I have Australian Shepherds and a boarding kennel. Dr. Booker and his staff at Central Providence always go beyond the call of duty when taking care of all of our pets needs. They are professional yet down to earth and offer the best care of any vet clinic I have ever used (and there are many on that list). I always feel good about the knowledge and experience of the staff and Dr.Booker. They have been such a blessing to our pets and I know for a fact that they have saved the life of several of our companions over the past few years for us. Once an emergency c-section had to be performed on one of our girls (after another vet sent me home with her and said give it more time but she was going into shock!) and the girls in the office all helped to work on the pups as each one was born. Dr.Booker knew that my dog was in terrible trouble and everyone stayed during lunch while the surgery was performed to help out. They were so caring and kind during this hectic scary time. There have been so many times over the years that they have been amazing with the care and compassion as they have helped us take better care of our pets. Everyone I have ever sent to Central Providence has been really pleased with the care they offer. They know who I am when I call and treat our dogs like each one is very special to them. I never worry about the care they get when we go in and have complete confidence in the decisions regarding our pets care. I have not found another office where I feel as comfortable with the care of our pets or feel as well treated as I do with Dr.Booker and his wonderful staff.
