Unless you like to be treated as if you are a child in trouble, this is not the pawn shop for you. This pawn shop has been rude to me the few times I went there over the past 2 years. This last time I even called before I went in to make sure that they were going to take the merchandise I was able to pawn. Since that is why he was rude to me one time prior. When I called, I was treated with respect and politeness over the phone. That all changed as soon as I walked into the door. I had put the items up on the counter and explained I had just called. The guy gave me not even a minute of his time. He looked in one bag then said $10 for all. I said I was told a different price over the phone. He then insisted that he would have never said that. I then even gave him a way out when I said well maybe the price I was quoted over the phone was for selling them not pawning them. He then continued to get much more agressive to me, saying he didn't want the stuff anyways. I then reminded him that I did call before I came to make sure they would even take them, which they said they would. He didn't even look at all my items, just assumed the value sight unseen. I asked him many times to not be so rude with me. That there was no reason for his behavior to me. He then became more upset and rude with me, as if i deserved it. I was even going to take his low amount for all the stuff I brought in. Then he barked for my ID. To me that was the last straw. I said again to him, you do not need to be so rude to me. When he STILL continued to be RUDE. Then I spoke to him as he spoke to me. He then shoved my items back at me and said, Now you are being rude I don't want your stuff. The items almost feel off the counter he shoved them so hard. On the way out, I let him know I did check the rating online and seen a few comments about them being rude and those people were correct. I also told him I would post a comment about the way I was treated...so here it is. Maybe he only treats woman poorly...who knows. But I do know all three times I went in there he treated me the same way. After this I will NEVER go back there. And would hope others don't as well. No reason to be treated rudely when we obviously you are in need of funds, possibly hit a hard time in life or like the other person said they lost their family member or like me trying to get enough funds to care for a sick child a day before payday. Maybe this guy will learn one day how to treat people....we can all hope. Till then I will take all my business to another pawn shop, as I did when I left there. I also received more money then he was going to give without the rude behavior. Thumbs down for Central Pawn!
