Central Market

Although I love this place, the prices I do not love. Its a very expensive grocery store, and caters to thoes who like fresh, organic and gourmet. I love the produce and hard to find items, and the store is always clean and easy to navigate. The customer service is friendly and the isles are always well stocked. more

Shopping at Central Market is a pleasure! Starting in the fruit section and ending in the premade meals it is comfortable and relaxing shopping the international foods. I never feel rushed or in a hurry when at Central Market. The selection is very good as I would expect. The prices are on par with other normal grocery stores. I recommend everyone go to Central Market. more

I love Central Market because it is really an H.E.B. grocery store which aren't found in North Texas. I grew up with H.E.B. so I have a place in my heart for Central Market and the store-brand products (the fajita meat, the blackberry jam). I like to buy the H.E.B. products which are fabulous at a fraction of the cost of the gourmet items that CM sells in abundance. That said, CM can be a real hassle for grocery shopping. It is set up like a maze and you have to know where to find the cut-through aisles. There are always lots of browsers who can make it difficult to get in and out. Of course, the food selection is fabulous - wonderful grains sold in bulk; beautiful produce (where else has Meyer lemons), fresh tortillas, cheeses galore and a buffet of sauces and condiments that will stop you dead in your tracks. Go during the week when the crowds are light. Buy early for any holiday dinners, too! Regular customers receive coupons and discounts. more

I go here for lunch all the time, they have some of the best sandwiches and soups around, but the fun doesn't stop there! They also have a full gormmet market, fabulous meat selection, a prepared food case where you could grab a quick dinner, a coffee bar, a gelato bar, a large florist area, the best wine and beer selection I've ever seen. I could go on and on. This place is wonderful and I will continue to go back again and again. It is pricey, but you're getting the best for your money! more

This is a grocery store for people who LOVE FOOD. They have so much gourmet food and organic treats- I can spend hours inside! The wine department is also huge. I can't think of any place in Texas with a better selection. There are also people there to help you along your way in choosing. Try the salad bar too! This is a great locally owned business. Supporting locally owned businesses is always important to keep the local economy running strong! more

The only negative thing about the central market is that you can find shopping there get's to be addictive. They have so many fresh, great products and so many new things to try that shopping there is kind of entertaining. Their groceries generally cost a little more that at your regular grocer, but the quality of the produce, meats, and cheeses, and the selection make it worth it. They also have a great cafe and already prepared items to buy. The staff has always been very helpfula and friendly. more

I love it when I'm in Fort Worth and have the opportunity to stop by Central Market. Not only is their food fresh and quite the best quality you can find anywhere, they go out of their way to help the community. My group was given a private class on the use of herbs and then taken on a sampler tour of the entire store....yum! If I were very rich and lived near Central Market, I would never cook again. Their takeout is divine. This is one grocery store where you would love to have lunch from the deli. And their selection of beers and wines from around the world makes it a favorite destination of my husband, too. Plus they have tables outside with a nice set of playground equipment for the kids. My daughter often stops there when she's in the area so the kids can run off a little steam. Believe me: You will not be disappointed in this market. more
