  • Who We Are When you bring your pets to us at Central Kansas Veterinary Center, you are placing them in the hands of some of the finest professionals. We are a full service 24 hour hospital dedicated to the health and well-being of companion animals. We provide routine and emergency care in the Reno County area and serve as a referral hospital for veterinarians throughout central and western Kansas. Compassionate Care Caring for your pet is more than just a job for our staff who are chosen for their skill and compassion towards animals. We administer heavy doses of TLC. We regularly comfort and talk to our patients (and make sure dogs are walked five times a day). Each pet rests on soft, clean, cushioned bedding to ensure the most comfortable recuperation possible. That compassion reaches beyond our hospital walls to the community where we participate in spay/neuter programs, adoption fairs and a multitude of activities that benefits animals and their owners. Our Clinic Our fully equipped hospital has separate dog and cat wards located in the midst of the facility so that we can continually monitor all patients and deliver plenty of attention. Many visitors can't believe they are in an animal hospital. We work extra hard to keep our clinic fresh and sanitary with frequent in-depth cleanings. Our Philosophy At Central Kansas Veterinary Center, we believe that each of our companion animals is precious and deserves the best of care. We go the extra mile to ensure that our patients are comfortable, clean and cared for. Each of our patients rests on soft and cushioned bedding. Cats patients are housed in a 'cats only' ward where kennels are kept under constant observation and where the cats are interacted with regularly. Our dogs patients are given a walk outside at least four times daily. Our dog and cat wards are located so that our patients are continuously observed in the middle of the working part of our hospital. Patients are our top priority Honesty and integrity are important components of our hospital. We are straightforward about fees and anticipated outcome for each of our patients. We want you to feel informed and involved in the decision-making process involving your pet's care.
