I've taken my vehicles to Frank for many years. If you're looking for an honest mechanic, look no further. Frank is competent, honest, and his prices are good. On this occasion, I took my parent's car to be checked out. They originally took their car to a Honda dealership for an oil change and were told they had $2500 of needed repairs. Frank looked over the car and discovered that a number of the "needed repairs" were absolutely not required. In the end, my parents paid half of what the dealership quoted, their car runs great, and Central Florida Auto Repair has another happy customer. Thank you Frank and Brian...!! more

Overall, the work was done well. However, please read below. I came in to have my struts and shocks done. I asked the man (Brian) if they could they also do an all over check of my car for $25 so I'd know of any other major work. My sister Wanda told me that they would do a thorough check. He said yes. They did immediately find a problem with the brake pads so I had them fix them. However, I wasn't given any report about the entire car. Within the next week, I took my car to another shop as my car was shaking badly. As it turned out, I had two tires that were bald and one more in bad shape. I got 4 new tires for $500. I just wish I could have known that while I was at Central FL so I could have taken care of everything all at once. more

Here is the bottom line: If you want it fixed, be dealt with fairly and very respectfully, Not screwed over, Come here! Period. About 12 years ago, my son recommended "Central Florida Auto Repair" to me for a chafed through steel brake line just down from the brake master cylinder. The brakes completely failed. I saw what was involved; this was a major line replacement that snaked through the fender down to the brake "Anti-lock" device. A fairly significant job! I was expecting to pay over $500.00 for this repair. Frank took my car in and I went home. Late that afternoon, He called me, and with my heart in my throat, told me your car's done. UNDER $100.00!! He performed a proper and permanent repair to the line itself. Big savings... This goes directly to the business philosophy of "Central Florida Auto Repair"! A less reputable repair shop would have put it to us! They didn't... They have repeatedly performed outstanding diagnostics and repair. Some complicated, Some stacked on top of other problems that must be found and fixed before the others can be found- My car is 17 years old and it runs like new. This is a testament to "Central Florid Auto Repair". more
